Just curious, and sorry if it was mentioned in the other thread. Do you have any angle up of the differential yoke? Should have 2 - 3 degrees of angle from the yoke to the driveshaft. So on acceleration as the rear differential torques down the yoke and driveshaft line up. Not saying if it did...
6 -6.5 degrees of caster will get you a good driving (tracking) setup. Any more caster will give a bad angle at the pinon and driveshaft and will induce vibration when in 4 wheel drive.
It stopped streaming for me right in the middle of the first switch back. If you have it taped I would like to see the rest.
Thanks for taking us along!
I am looking at being there the Week of Aug. 11th. I will be alone, so hopefully will be able to find someone to tag along with. All the years of being there and I have not run it yet, but some how I will.
Did your kit come with a carrier bearing spacer (drop)? If not the angle that the rear drive shaft is operating at the carrier may be the issue. I have a 3 inch lift and replaced the rear driveshaft with a one piece from Adams.
2020 StingGray JT Rubicon. Just noticed some corrosion starting on the hinges, tailgate and seam of one door. Be curious to see how they try and get out of it since it is lifted, have a hood decal and 5.7 hemi installed.
I can not comment on the PSC system but I did install the Redneck Ram system on my JT. Plus I also have a 5.7 Hemi with the mechanical power steering pump.
All that aside, it made a huge difference while turning. I am really glad I put it on. Last year at EJS I had some troubles turning and...
Got them mounted up. Think I am going to like them, as they are very quiet and smooth on the road. Trails will be in August, as I head to Colorado for some trail running.
Need to figure out how much air to run in them. Have reached out to Milestar to see if I am supposed to have full tread...
No idea. Nothing was mentioned.
Its all good, I got my tires mounted today at a new management, local tire shop. $151 for dismount, mount, road force balance and 4 tire disposals.
Mild steel angle iron would work best for DIY made. Bed frame is hard to drill and cut in my experiences and flat strap steel can bend giving inaccurate measurements.
Wheels off and axle on jack stands. Can be done tires on, but easier with them off. Either way get it up on jack stands.
I have...
You are thinking and looking at this the right way.
Buy some adjustable lower control arms and an adjustable drag link. Set your caster to 6 - 6.5 degrees and use the drag link to center your wheel and enjoy the drive.
Oh and get or set the toe correctly.
