My wife has a X3M, my brother in law a m240i, both are absolute butter in traffic compared to my Jeep. To speak to maintenance, no issues with either. The m240i is FBO (DP, stage 2+ tune, intake, full exhaust, upgraded injectors and pump) w/ ~450 awhp and the X3M is stock. Both around the same...
You just may be right....My tire still measured at 31.7" at 33 PSI just now, but, in reading more into tire sizes and speedometer, the tazer may need to be bumped up to be more accurate. I'll report back here when done.
I may be going crazy, maybe not. No matter what I do, it seems that drive to drive, my MPH displayed by the jeep and measured by Three GPS devices (phone, radar detector, and Garmin GPS) are off by 2 MPH consistently, i.e. 65 displayed by jeep, 67-67.8 measured by GPS. Sometimes, it's spot on...
Just got the Jeep back from the dealership, tire rotation, general check, and a look into my 3rd gear stutters. Service Advisor had the tech do a full relearn, and so far, so good. Attached is also the Blackstone analysis of the oil change ~500 miles ago, and an obligatory picture
The key here is to change the tire size setting to ensure it is larger than your actual tire, therefore your jeep thinks you're traveling further than reality, so it will bump your MPG's, happy jeeping! /s
I learned this the hard way too, my old VW used to go +/- 5 mph per hit, and it took a second of holding to adjust it by +/- 1 mph. Jump in the jeep the first time, hold the button for a few seconds thinking I can go from 63-67ish, jumps up to 80 real quick.
Added these this afternoon, light cutoff in the garage seems good, only night time will tell the truth. It's nice to have 3 different lighting colors, my only complaint is that it seems to forget which light color I shut the jeep off with and just cycles through with each unlock.
It's never is enough of a delay to make me think "huh that was long" but it will clunk into R sometimes. I used to drive a DSG so I am used to putting the parking brake on to avoid any rolling and pressure on the transmission, it's odd. I have an appt Thursday now, I wish us all luck!
Shit.... you're the 4-5th person here who has this issue and I fear I'm the 6th. Shifting from 3rd to 4th it sometimes jolts, and in 3rd, around 2k-4k, it slips and catches abruptly. 2023, bought new, 5800 miles, it's done it since 1,000ish.
Just guessing here again, but I'm fairly sure the mounting holes/sizes of the housings are different. I am sure there are writeups on here about what is needed to facilitate the DRL function. I would have to assume is a simple wire to some existing terminal and then maybe a function change with...
I think the larger issue will be wiring for the fender lights. If I am not mistaken, you do not have DRLs on the fender, if that is the case, there may be some blackwizardy needed to wire up the DRLs and Turn signals for the newer fenders.
Ah jeez... this is worrying for me.. I have a 23 that has done this since new.. slips then seems to slam the TC closed and jerks the jeep when cold and at random times in 3rd. Glad it's getting fixed for you!
Not to sidetrack the thread, but I sorta like the bumper with the crash tubes removed....Sick setup w/ the lights, just need them to drop some slim fitting brake housings and we're set.
