No idea on materials needed to bare the sun/elements. But what’s to stop the process if the end user wants to sand and paint the units in a uv coating or something that can withstand the elements?
I am desperate enough for flush lights that are (relatively) customizable in terms of actual light...
That's awesome, Would you explore printing these for forum members in the future? Or perhaps sharing the template? How did you handle affixing the panels/housing to the jeep? I vaguely remember some of the flush mounts that manufactures make are prone to breaking. There's also the ORO lights...
You could make a killing just selling the 3d printed shells and allowing people to use any Oval style light or similar in it. I would be one of those people!
More than likely, missed the cutoff for 2023, I would check with your dealer to confirm. This could also mean price increases if something was not already locked in.
Old BMWs (looking at you n54/n55/s54/S55) were atrocious to maintain, injectors for the n54 alone at $800 a pop because they're not made in mass anymore. Now, the new engines, b58/s58/s63, etc, are not bad due to the mass production of engines and parts. Plus, they are significantly more...
Piggy backing off the "relean/learn" that these do. Mine had a weird hesitation in 3rd at ~2000 rpm. It seems like the TC slipped then slammed itself shut leading to a jolt. Took it to the dealer, told them about it, the advisor said its 3 weeks out for a transmission appt but would see what...
My Rubicon, I beleive, is set the same way. I run DD SS3 Max in my fog spot and run them as my DRL too in Georgia. No issues. LEDs automatically throttle after about 10 minutes of warming up, and I'm sure they'll throttle as they get hotter but so far no perceivable difference.
My only advice is if you think you’ll need a track bar (you’ll need it) get one. I did a 1.5 teraflex level and my axle shifted 3/4” to the driver side. Very small, but noticeable at the right angles. All in all, having only done a lift install once (back in 2013) this took me 3.5 hours with a...
Using 3 different devices, my phone (disconnected from the Jeep), my radar detector (escort redline 360) and my Garmin inreach. Each of those three devices are usually wihtin .1/.2 mph of each other.
I need to find a radar camera near me and run by that to confirm the speeds are accurate as...
My understanding is that is how you are supposed to measure tire height, inflated, and weighed down under the vehicle as that is the accurate representation of actual tire diameter.
If we went off of pure tire size unladen, everyone who has RTT's, Campers, bumpers, etc would be very far off on...
I 100% agree with you, my mind needs it to be accurate. I track fuelups with fuelly and I am annoyed when fuelly says "13.6 MPG and the jeep says 15 mpg." I get that they may be a few percentage points off, but to be 1.5+ mpg off is not acceptable to my pea sized brain.
