Remember, lifetime has multiple meanings depending on who is using the word. Assuming they expect it to last 100,000 miles, yeah, it's lifetime. For an owner who wants it to go farther, it's a dumb term.Mine runs impressively smooth ... that has actually been one of my praises of this 8spd. You might confirm oil level ... you mentioned being a 2022.... mines a 20' ... I opted to do a dump and flush at 30k miles. I do not for a second buy into the lifetime fluid that Jeep claims, especially when the ZF documentation conflicts. Not all will agree, but I do spend some time off-road and also towing ... it was not that expensive to have my dealer perform the service and they also agreed with my sentiment of the lifetime fluid.
.... now if you want to experince a hard shifting trans ... drive the Ford 10spd .... that thing is possessed!
No way I need to do it that frequently - 30K is nothing for me and my driving and use of the truck. But....... lifetime? Hmmmmm. Define, please.
My differential fluid levels were fine. About 1/2" down on the front, about 5/8" down on the rear. Fluid looks fine so far - but that's only 10,000 miles and one trip towing so it's not really had any hard use at all (other than a long drive to Fl and back last fall)
Fun on transmissions - 4,000 miles on the GERMAN-built ZF in my wife's Jeep (while the transmissions in my 2020 and my 2022 remain totally dry - totally) ->
