If you get a new or replacement fob from Jeep, the dealer needs all of your current fobs and the new fob to program the new fob and reprogram the old fob(s). Not sure if locksmiths have the equipment to program the current Jeep fobs, also don't know if the transponder chip in the existing fobs...
I am assuming that you will glue the 3 pieces of wood together with exterior glue? Damnit, because I'm not about to pay $59.95 if you are using interior glue or no glue at all!
Get a key blank cut and glue the transponder chip to it.

Just curious, did you try starting only with the control board with a battery installed without the transponder chip in proximity of...
Don't get locked into thinking it will have to fasten to the ceiling. Maybe something that is not permanently attached, here is just one of many examples.

It would have been nice; if when the ignition was OFF that the PCM would separate the two batteries, and only have the batteries in parallel when the ignition was ON except during a Start Stop Event.
I am curious how Ford (and other manufacturers) implemented the Auto Start Stop only using a...

I did some of the prep work yourself before the JT was taken to the liner installer. I removed my bed lights, greased the threaded holes and plugged with rolled up tape, removed the power outlet hole plug, and other thing I can't remember.
Build something similar to this (headache rack) that has longer legs that could fasten to the 4-tie down points in the floor of the bed. It could be permanent or removable to only install when you know you will need to secure something top-heavy that needs tied down up high. I build a permanent...
I would assume the big 2450 battery should last as long as any other smart fob that have the smaller batteries. Unless a moran like me runs the fob through a few wash and dry cycles. Although after some unwanted practice I now have acquired the skill set to replace my battery with ease in my AJT...
I see you have perfected the skill of finding ceiling joists. :like:
Edit: I like how you used the 4 j-hook type hangers to hold the two removable 2x4s.
The fob uses a CR2450 battery, one of the larger if not the largest battery of this type. I know this battery number well, because each time I launder my fob, it's time for a new battery. I now purchase them in bulk.
