If anyone is looking for a high clearance bumper, Artec released theirs today. Ordered a rear and I am considering ordering a front bumper as well.

I shattered my rear window offroading. Same thing, the two outside panels broke and the slider was in tact. You can get the rear glass replaced. It was much cheaper from a glass company than the dealer. I paid around $550 including install.
I’m in the process of getting a mount/bracket to relocate the stock spare tire mount underneath my half height bed rack. It’ll allow me to raise and lower a 40 easily. The mount will tie into all three cross members so that it properly supported. I can post photos when it’s finished if anyone is...
@Sbro2021 said it best… I like driving over stuffs. I currently dd mine. I don’t baby it on the road but I don’t abuse it either. Off-road is very different story but that’s what I bought it for
My girlfriend drives it whenever she wants to but she really doesn’t enjoy driving it. Pretty much only road trips when I ask her to or if her car is in the shop. I also let friends drive while we are off-roading and I typically offer/encourage them to. They drive it much easier than I do and if...
I also missed the part where he wanted a diesel. I have a diesel and I love it. I wouldn’t trade it for a 3.6 and probably wouldn’t have bought the JT without the diesel motor. It turns 40s with ease, is fun to drive and gets “good” mpg. But I would never consider buying a jt diesel if I was...
You asked for people’s opinion and you are getting them. Typically when you come to a forum people want to sell you on what they have but the majority of people are telling you it’s not a good vehicle for you. That says a lot.
You want to load the vehicle to its payload limits with a 70lbs+...
I still haven’t got the supplemental oil cooler in. Due to the dimensions and my bumper, I will have to cut the frame horns, make brackets and a skid plate.
I have started to pay very close attention to my throttle position % on my banks and I’ve found that over 40% raises temps into the low...
I wish I had seen this before I ordered. I spoke with them and asked for dimensions and the ones they gave me were way off. My shop is building some brackets to mount it up but it ended up being a lot more work than it would've been. It's not the end of the world but it is pretty frustrating...
I have mine mounted under my front passenger seat. It's easy to access and doesn't take up any additional storage space. Sure it's blocks the vents but the cab is tiny and the vents up higher still work.
My two dogs ride in the back seat. I removed the seats and made a platform for them to hangout on. I put a dog bed on it and there’s storage underneath for recovery gear and other things.
When we are moving slowly I let them out of the Jeep and they run around and follow us down the trail.
I...
i considered that but I have 4.5-5” of lift height and I’m pretty sure I won’t like the look. The Pat XT is 3PMSF rated. I just don’t know if they are any good. They don’t have a ton of siping for a 3PMSF tire. If I went 37 I’d run the Baja boss AT. But the XT is significantly cheaper.
I had...
I currently run a set of 40” Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MTs. They are great tires and I plan on keeping them. However, with winter quickly approaching I am thinking I might want a set of dedicated winter tires. We get a ton of snow where I live and while the Baja boss is supposed to be good in...
From what I've read, the portals on the JT or JL aren't all that great. Sure you get more ground clearance but you sacrifice a ton of up travel in the suspension.
I’ve had my eye on this:

Paired with hot headliners and their sound dampening I’d think that’d make a noticeable difference.
Other than that it’s...
Id say they are 1.5 “points” harder. So an 8 in Moab is a 6.5 at Sand Hollow.
I might be canceling my trip, but if I go, I’ll keep an eye out for you!
