  1. Cowl Lights for serious snow?

I have LP6s mounted on the bumper, look at my build/ light threads. I have not had a chance to use them in heavy snow though.
  2. Cowl Lights for serious snow?

Wouldn’t lights at eye level cause an absurd amount of glare in falling snow?? If anything I’d mount some pods on the bumper. That’s part of what drove me to swap Baja designs pods to DD pods, sharper horizontal cutoff and less glare. I feel like I could drive comfortably with just my DD amber...
  3. Steps that cover the pinch weld

It took me so little time I can’t believe I put it off for so long. The taping didn’t take that long. To be fair, I repaint my steps with the same rust reformer spray paint so I didn’t have to worry about removing steps or masking them off.
  4. Fire extinguisher mount for Gladiator?

I thought about putting it there instead, but that’s where I keep my hordes of mummified French Fries
  5. Steps that cover the pinch weld

Was gonna say Rock Hard. Another option is just to paint your pinch seams. My steps didn’t cover them, and I ended up just taping off the rocker panels and spray painting the seam. Now it disappears pretty well.
  6. Fire extinguisher mount for Gladiator?

Yea, I mean it’s to help put out a little cooking fire or something. Better than nothing, and I’m not going to haul a 20# extinguisher around. Most small extinguishers people carry probably wouldn’t put out a huge gas fire. It’s above my head on the roll bar so shouldn’t hit.
  7. Fire extinguisher mount for Gladiator?

DIY mount inside driver roll bar

    Finally, someone who gets me.
  9. Phone mount arm comparisons RAM vs 67D vs Bulletpoint

I went further down the rabbit hole of comparing device mounting arms. RAM by far has the most extensive variety of mounting solutions across different vehicles and devices, including motorcycle, wheelchair, kayak, etc. they mostly use a 1ā€ ball system, though 9/16ā€ and 1.5ā€ and 2.25ā€ balls are...
  10. A bed rack to work with bed tonneau cover

I believe he used Yakima landing pads (I used #1) to mount to rails, Yakima skyline mounts that attach to the bars and mount to the landing pads, and the Yakima HD bars. It’s a pretty slick system, the skyline mounts are keyed so you can unlock them and take your bars off quickly if needed. LINK
  11. JTR w/ 37 on Teraflex Nomad Split Spoke

Easy to take apart and clean. Fully deflate tire obviously before unscrewing valve. LINK I had some gunk in mine, couple wouldn't stop deflating, but that was likely because I mounted some used, filthy tires. I wouldn't worry about running 15psi, that's what I do on 37s. I think some of mine...
  12. Camping with your Gladiator

Month long canoe trip?? You paddling your way down to Seattle?
  13. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

This looks like a quality mount but I never can figure out why you'd want the jack exposed to the elements. I understand the desire to keep them in proper working order, but they are called Farm Jacks after all. I’m sure farmers don’t keep them pristine in a waterproof case. Then again, half...

    Should’ve used Amsoil

The appropriate gif would usually be Hangover but your ā€˜50s pic is perfect.
  16. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Good choice. I don’t know when ā€œlowā€ is useful, as it is too bright to reasonably exist in civilization. So if I’m in the wilderness I am happy getting as much light as possible. If I come up on others I shut them off… I imagine low would still be absolutely blinding to others!
  17. Mopar 2" Lift - Fox vs. Bilstein Shocks

I’m surprised the fronts aren’t braided. Would they be too hard to curve? I know the old Mojave shocks aren’t either, but they have pretty good brackets holding them. HOWEVER if you put Mojave shocks on, say, my Rubicon, things aren’t in the same place and the brackets don’t quite fit so a...
