With the awning on the driver side now I took the opportunity over the weekend to do a quick setup. Since I ordered the second awning for the left side, I got with it 2 more sides.
Apparently this was the only photo I took...hmm. Well anyway here the door is open and you can see inside...
Nutserts is one thing I have not done, that I really wish I had done for several applications. I too have looked back pretty angry with myself I didn't go that route from the start. Now I have gone so far without them, it's almost pointless to start with them haha. Maybe not. I might look at...
Tell your kids they are a handful. They're like 15 puppies in one times 10..... But they are pretty cool. These ones will be getting released in the summer once they grow up and gain all the normal squirrel skills. I think some of the southern states actually allow them to be pets.
I am much the same way which is why I often buy tools even for the first use in the likelihood that I will need it again in the future. Especially with how difficult it is to get things taken care of in my area. Although cables can be shipped fairly easily. I like the option @HooliganActual...
If it weren't for already having the wire and the other half of the Anderson crimped and wired up I would have gone this route. But it was cheaper building it with wire in my basement already.
Again I find myself not doing much to the JT. I am working on acquiring the hopeful last few components needed to finish it, which is exciting as that means more play time and moving on to the LJ and house rebuild.
But this arrived last week.
And, I couldn't resist saving some little souls...
Searching didn't net the results I was looking for so figured having a thread specific to large wire (small ga) would benefit all.
My specific question is what people are using to crimp 4ga wire to Anderson connectors. My cheap Chinese crimpers did the trick last time but they are too damaged...
I thought I would follow-up on this thread since I noticed something interesting. Midland has a new line of antenna products. They also FINALLY include some infographics to depict the different applications, pros and cons. It's about time a radio manufacturer does something like this to help...
They kinda do though. In a roundabout way. It's nearly impossible to be specific, and it mostly doesn't even matter because in all likelyhood, payload will be exceeded before anyone can get close to a maximum specified trailer weight. And once payload is exceeded, you are technically illegal...
Sorry for the late response, it's been a pretty crazy few weeks. Thanks to @Jaxmax for his photos. My wiring is exactly the same as how it came, I just put the brains of the system on a different mounting platform to accommodate the factory size battery since my aux batteries are in the bed...
Most likely redarc will just tell you to look at your owners manual. A lot of people find a 'engine on' circuit, maybe that could be even a switch or sensor of some type, and then do a fuse tap from there. Personally I hate that approach, but without the aux switches it's probably your only...
If you have the factory aux switches there is a wire under the passenger footwell that has a 12v ignition on circuit, a always hot, and ground, in addition to the aux + wires.
Now that the hinge and struts were mounted on the outside, the replacement awning and shower cube can go on. If you recall, I realized half way trough last year that I needed the awning to be on the driver side instead of the passenger with how my hot water setup is. Which is ok, as I can gift...
Over the last few weeks I have been working on a couple projects that have required a little more than the usual figuring and parts modifications. Though I really like this tent a lot, there is one aspect that has always bothered me. The hinges and struts. They just make closing the tent a...
Are you talking about the gap between the glass and top? That would have to be some major debris - it's like a half inch wide.
Recently I noticed the leak as well. Although sloshing sounds are not associated with a leaking window. You might have a cracked top. I dont think anybody has had...
I was chatting with them a few months ago and asked if they had panned on a Gladiator version. They do have some ideas but they have enough business with the LJ to suite their schedules and finances so its probably not going to be for a while, sadly.
I also ran across this a few days ago. I am hoping to make my RTT work once the fabric is replaced, but if it still is a no go, I likely will go this route and end up doing a full camper conversion.
