  1. Gladiator Expedition Rigs

That's pretty nifty. Then there is this as well. Not a Jeep of course, but the idea is great. Man I sure wish someone would make something like this for the Gladiator. I might have to hop on over to the expedition portal forum and see about acquiring some composite panels...
  2. Destination Unknown - 2022 JTR journal

Man that sucks! Fortunately in my area there is not a ton of hail and it is small. But, a couple hundred miles east over the continental divide and it's a different story. I hope that large size hail never happens here. But if it didn't, and if it was bad enough to destroy the panels, I...
  3. Destination Unknown - 2022 JTR journal

Oh man I would not be happy if that happened. But where I am there isn't a lot of hail, and the largest I have seen is the size of a BB. So should be pretty safe here. Time will tell.
  4. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I can't speak for him but the ironman4x4 awnings do come with those brackets. It looks like he has extensions though that they do not come with. I think I have an extra set if you are in need.
  5. Destination Unknown - 2022 JTR journal

FINALLY got the solar panels installed the last couple of days. They are already proving to work excellent in low light high angle applications. I think this will work very well, so we'll I might not even need a second battery after all! Although I will say I am a tad nervous for what the...
  6. Destination Unknown - 2022 JTR journal

Doing a little testing before deciding if I want to swap out the ctek charger in the JT for this one instead, and maybe put the ctek in the TJ. I will say although totally unnecessary, it's kinda fun watching the charging profile and graph.
  7. Get This $&%# Off My Screen!!!! Mopar Vehicle Protection Maximum Care Plans message

its only going to get worse with these continued requirements for subscriptions.
  8. Hood switches

Thank you for the link good sir. ? I will order both later this weekend. They are both gummed up really bad. I just dont wanna deal with a warranty mess for a $20 part.
  9. Hood switches

Well looks like I get to do some diagnosing this weekend. I noticed today after running an errand that the Genesis system disconnected the aux from the main battery today after leaving the truck parked otuside a business for only a few minutes. The battery combiner opens when it senses 12.7...
  10. So I need lights. But I'm not spending 2-3k for a setup that'll get run maybe once a month.

KC has made some big improvements in the last several years too. I was thinking of going with them for the JL build maybe just to keep it 'old school'.
  11. Yellow fogs recommendations

I put these in not long ago. Direct fit if you have the LED package. No codes. Great light output. https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/squadron-r-sae-led-auxiliary-light-pod-pair/?sku=247816
  12. So I need lights. But I'm not spending 2-3k for a setup that'll get run maybe once a month.

I agree with this. Well mostly. The LP series are cool and all but LED for LED you actually get more performance out of the XL80's with less power draw. The only reason the LP series appear to throw more light is because they simply have more LED's and have the side IPT tech. XL80's have 4...
  13. Buyer's remorse

Oh man I have wanted to go to Gallagher Head lake for over 10 years!! Van Eeps too. Some cool things up there from what I have seen in some friends pics. Not a lot of mild/medium off road trails in Washington though which is a shame. I'm hoping to get a few folks in on a trip through Naches...
  14. General Lifepo4 Battery Question

Also, you need a DC/DC charger. Do NOT connect them directly to the starting battery under the hood.
  15. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Why not take it with you? Man I sure do miss the puget sound. Looks great on your rig.
  16. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Interesting. Well no doubt these will soon fall in the 'vintage tools' category as most people don't even know how to read them anymore since everything is digital these days. Even when I got them many years ago a bunch of guys at the shop asked why. Well...to make sure clearances and...
  17. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Nothin on the Gladiator right now until I figure out a direction to go with this tent situation. But Dad decided to visit again and brought some of my old tools. Still perfectly calibrated. after being left in a garage with hot/cold cycles for nearly 20 years.
  18. Any opinions on Baja Designs Squadron-R SAE Fog Lights? (Gen 2 SAE lights)

If you just need to see off to the side, BD's S1 or S2 series will work. They throw some good light for 200-400'. But it's not a budget breaker like the XL80's. Or you can do the Lucid cowl lights. I have those as well. Pricy because they're one of a kind, but I am pretty satisfied with...
  19. Any opinions on Baja Designs Squadron-R SAE Fog Lights? (Gen 2 SAE lights)

But if light is what you need. BD's XL80s are what you want. I have 4. 2 with the 'wide' angle lens in amber, and 2 with the spot lens in clear. Back yard is not a good test site but, light for light they are the best performing ones you can get. Brightest option out there. They are now...
