I knew this was a new gen diesel and it would have a few bugs. I had posted earlier that this is the ONLY vehicle where I also bought the extended warranty. I had no interest in the gasser. I love this diesel JT. Hoping to own it a long, long time. Internet is always full of negative...
Too funny. I used to drive an AMC Spirit in highschool. Jacked it up with rear shackles. Traction bars. Wide rear tires. Skinny fronts. 258ci 6 cylinder was strong. What memories.
These are strange times with the high used car prices. But remember that when you trade a car in .... that trade in amount is manipulated with the price of the new car you are buying. A dealership can WOW you with a high trade in amount, but make it up on what you pay for the new car.
That's...
I've towed boats with 1/2 ton full size trucks and have been very disappointed. Can't imagine a 1/4 ton or midsize Jeep truck used for towing.
In the past .... I sold my useless Ram 4X4 that was terrible at towing. Terrible gas mileage. Over heated while towing. Purchased a Ford F350...
I fully plan on keeping my JTRD a long, long time. This is the only vehicle that I've ever purchased an extended warranty on. I will always need a truck. A capable truck that is. Just love the way this truck looks. It has the 2 inch mopar lift. Getting new wheels this week (17's). Was...
I'm sure it has been mentioned, but the stealerships can do whatever they want (warranty repairs), but it up to Corp if they get reimbursed for their work.
Regardless. This whole issue stinks for the OP.
Exactly. I've owned black vehicles before. Never again. Too hard to keep clean and dark colors absorb heat. White IMO is a classy, understated color. ALL my cars/trucks are white. The cool jeep colors do seem fun, but my conservative self always defaults back to white.
Looks like possibly an Ecodiesel badge lower left side, but there appears to be a 2nd badge (same size) lower right side. My JTRD does not have a badge on the lower right side. Maybe a dealership badge?
After reading so much on this topic of derating. I'm just curious if JEEP Corp is concerned about this? Are we talking about just a few isolated cases in "extreme" environments with towing/or not towing? I'm amazed that owners have to resort to the aftermarket for adequate cooling options...
So lift installed with 3/4 inch front spacer by dealership. I was told that I need to come back for a re-torque on all the bolts when I hit around 500 miles. Sounds reasonable. Everyone else doing this? My days of wrenching are over so ..... back to the dealership I guess.
BTW. Truck feels...
Typical of the internet. Mostly complaints from people who are having issues. This is common nature. I am not discounting some of these complaints because they are real. But a certain percentage of vehicles will be unlucky and have issues. That is reality. Visit any car/truck forum site...
I had this done for my new JTRD. 3/4 leveling spacer up front. all done by the dealership. I also (for the 1st time in my car/truck buying life) purchased an extended warranty mostly because I want to keep this JT for a long time and peace of mind with a new 3rd gen diesel with all the eco...
