Amen to that. These threads crack me up. The only reason I was able to get my JT was keeping my boat at the marina, so I sold my F250. If I was still towing regularly then there’s no way in hell I would have this thing.
Looks like a Taco. I never had any issues with the styling of the current truck, I think it’s pretty decent looking. I’m hoping they update the obsolete mechanicals, cheap interior, and mediocre driving experience.
Mine has intermittently failed to blank as well here recently. I flipped through the live menu last night and it started working again. Something to keep an eye on I guess.
My two finalists for this truck were a ZR2 and JT Mojave. I felt the JT had a better interior, better back seats, better front seats, and was nicer to drive. The ZR2 had a little better suspension on pavement with the multimatic shocks but it didn’t make up for everything else. Plus I got a...
I agree that it’s not the end of the world to not have a drain plug, but let’s also not make it out like this is some sort of monumental technical challenge to make a drain plug that doesn’t leak. I’ve owned decades worth of German cars that require diff fluid changes, they all have drain and...
I don’t know (but probably should) the weight limits on the roof rails. That’s the only issue I could see, I’m not sure how strong these things are.
I have also noticed the same vibration when lightly pushing on the clutch pedal. I can’t recall feeling that on any previous manual transmission vehicles, and I’ve owned many.
I played with this a little bit under the dash, the rod end that connects to the clutch slave cylinder has a small amount of play where it connects to the pedal. It’s a pain to reach but I could slide it back and forth where it connects and make a metallic clicking noise. It would also make...
Scosche Proclip XL. No holes, easy to move around, puts the phone at the perfect level about level with the dashboard. Love it, and it’s cheap. If you think that mounting it vertically is too much in your field of view, just position it in landscape mode.
I love the old girl, but with the addition of bumpers from and rear, winch, and an ARE topper she’s getting a little fat!:) A lift is the next step in my progression, and I’m having a mental debate between the AEV Mojave spacer lift and going to a full spring lift to handle the extra weight...
5k changes synthetic oil and OEM filter on all of my cars. My E63 Blackstone engine oil analysis reports are immaculate at 90k, so I’m pretty ok with my methods.
