Next month (November) I am looking to get a new set of wheels. For the time being, I will be staying with the current tires (285/75/17) but will eventually go to a 37". These wheels are 17x8.5 with a -6 offset. I have a Sport (non-max tow) so the more narrow axles. Currently, I have a 1.5"...
The only issue with doing it in the front of the seat would be an attachment point on the bottom of the seat. On the side, it is the seat frame that lines up reasonably well with the edge of the plastic surround.
I was trying to think of another way to keep the large-ish piece of metal out of...
I have had this setup from the day I drove it off the lot. Because of that, I can't compare it to much else and I don't remember the test drive with the stock small tires. In mixed driving, I am averaging maybe 13-15 and then up to 18-20 if all highway. I have towed with it (3400-ish lbs...
I had mine done professionally but can give my 2 cents. I told the guy to match the back and he went with 15%. I have seen 15% or 20% as the match. My guess is it depends on the brand of tint. For the back and the rear I had a clear solar layer added to help with the UV and such.
I went through the pages of the link to the JL forum and on the 21 JLs one post showed an internal drip channel on the '21 models. Is this on the 21 JTs? I think I found the part number for it but was wondering if anyone has seen or tried it yet? For $20 each side it seems like a cheap factory...
This is awesome and has given me a few ideas to copy it. Great work! Do you have the measurements of the plate you are making to fill the hole from the media unit? My thought was to put two rocker switches in the slot. Since you have been working on the project, I thought your measurements would...
This is a bit of an older thread but did you figure out what those were for? I am thinking of ways to connect my phone for wired android auto but don't want wires everywhere. It has led me to maybe tapping into the back of the media hub.
I like the flat style better was my reasoning for mine over the ones in the link. However, the quality of the DV8 seems to be good and they were some of the cheaper ones I could find. They don't seem to be low quality or have any corners cut. The install was pretty straightforward as well. The...
A similar thread about fender flares is https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/show-me-your-fender-flares-cant-decide-what-to-get.46628/#post-752496.
I posted there with some other pictures but mine are DV8.
This was my first time up there and I think I hit most of the areas or at least saw them and I did not see any old blazers. A nice place though but I could see if it is crowded not quite as enjoyable.
Last week I went to Hollister off-road Park and had a little fun. I already posted about my rear bumper mishap but I wanted to share about the JCR rear fender liners.
I have rubicon suspension with a 3/4 inch spacer in the rear. The liners are aluminum so explains this and am glad it didn't...
Fixed my rear bumper from the mishap yesterday. A 4 lbs sledgehammer does the trick very well. Not sure how I melted the rear reflector but I had some metal pieces I was saving to add rear lights to and just threw some reflective tape on to replace the lenses.
Today I damaged the corner of my rear bumper. I am going to see if I can fix it but have been looking at buying a replacement as well. The prices on some of these things are insane. It should be more simple than the front I would think but figured I would see if anyone has or knows of one that...
Went to Hollister off-road Park. Came home needing to reattach the winch line that somehow came off the spool. Luckily it was after needing it and working great. Also came home with a a less then perfect rear bumper. With all of that still a great day and I basically had the whole park to...
