Pretty simply actually ... jumper the AUX positive to the main positive and isolate the ground. No permanent modification to the system and can be reverted back to stock if needed. I've been running this way for months without issue.
Do the pulleys come installed on the alternator ... I just replaced the alternator on a VW and the pulley was a separate line item. If that's the case it would save replacement of the alternator.
Depending on the severity that you are describing it is somewhat normal. If you are comparing a solid axle to IFS you will notice that when hitting certain bumps or G outs that the actions is transferred across the axle whereas IFS, being independent isn't as effected. If you are stock I really...
My rear window had the typical leak so common on the 2020's. My research revealed more horror stories than satisfied customers when it came to replacing the rear glass. The results seemed very inconsistent and I believe that the third party glass vendors experience varied. I opted to seal the...
Here is an image of my AUX lead to the main battery .... the lead does stack onto another lead that needs to be flipped over as it is tabbed. I added additional shrink wrap and cloth tape to insulate.
Nope ... the positive from the AUX redirects up to the main positive. It essentially runs the wires same as the Genesis dual battery system, but with only our single battery main. It is a bit tight but will reach the main. I almost ran a jumper down into the AUX compartment, but ended up making...
I went through two AUX batteries before I decided to delete. Isolated the ground and ran the positive to the main battery. Replaced the main battery with an Odyssey. haven't had an issue since.
Metal Cloak rocks! ... they obviously have an emphasis on customer service that I hope they maintain. If they do I will continue to order from them. Northridge4x4 also gets an A+ in my book. It seems to me that when people report issues it always seems to be by the same companies. Do your...
My ESS cycles when the AC is running? ... my system worked without issue for two years and then the AUX battery crapped out giving me the "Battery Charging". It provides so little benefit in terms of amp hr and such a PIA to access that I opted to delete the AUX and upgraded to an Odyssey main...
