You're correct that the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is downstream of the fuel filter, then metal shards caught by the filter generally wouldn't come from the HPFP, as the filter would intercept debris before it reaches the pump.
However, if shards are found in the fuel filter housing or...
Correct, any tank size can be reduced if the pressure increases adequately. But last I checked the scuba shop compressors are large, gas-powered, and expensive. Powertank or DIY a Co2 tank and getting it refilled will go a long way before breaking even with the shop compressor ?
The tank pressure is always higher than the tire in this model, it equalizes out so no need for a pump. That’s the same principle used with power tanks except the gas is even more compressed. They have those this two stage mechanism that reduces the pressure to something in the 125-250 PSI...
This is what I noted on paper a while ago; as others pointed out, it's very approximative. Anyone can correct any mistake I might have made. I have measured that I would need a 28 Gal tank at 150 PSI to do four 37" tires from 12 PSI to 37 PSI. OP can redo the math with 35 inch tires instead of...
I would be interested in knowing this as well. I'm scheduled for the inspection on Wednesday, and I plan to inspect the filter myself tomorrow, take pictures, and put it back to see if there are metal shavings. That way if they tell me nothing needs to be done on inspection day I have something...
That’s what the company making those devices are selling to the tuners. Tuners don’t know how ECU work specifically they know the engine and what they want to do with it. So they will also repeat that to their clients and the cycle is complete everyone believes it. In practice there is nothing...
More like almost twice the cost if we are also counting for hours of labor and fab he did himself. Just my guess. But we talk about smiles here and it’s also probably twice as much as a raptor ??
Do you guys know which category the engine oil filter for the EcoDiesel fits in?
I am doing some oil analysis, and for some reason, they don't know.
Here is the list they have on hand, I'm thinking it's a simple fullflow?
My understanding is that the BYPASS is the one that only puncture 10% of...
Interestingly, the one I've pulled out of my new (Diesel) gladiator is 68565698AA, which is now superseded by 68301863AA.
The one I ordered online that is allegedly compatible/the right one for my vehicle would be 68364653AA (the one in the OP). Now, please look at the picture below and tell me...
18-22 depending on my highway/city mix (calculated at refill). I’m sure I can go lower than that if I were to do mostly city, but I’d say I do 30% city, 60% highway, 10% off-road/crawling miles. I don’t have a heavy foot and enjoy cruising at 65 too if that’s worth anything.
âś‹?, and with a camper in the bed at that.
No issues wheeling on highway whatsoever beside a derating once that is shared with others with lesser big tires in similar mountain passes or weather conditions. Do I want to change? Yeah eventually, the fully loaded camper is a bit heavy and I’d like...
This scares me, looks like it’s right above the battery and I have bunch of electronic here (SDI stuff, & camper things). Maybe the frogskin thingy could help there. Thanks for the pics
I agree with this, and usually my motto as much as possible. I checked the company you referenced earlier in this thread, and I would not qualify this as done right in my book, especially for this price. They went the cheap way with an FDM 3D-printed part. I can tell this is either PET-G or ABS...
