  1. 3.0 Willys buy or not-advice

Make sure the HPFP recall is completed on it, I think if its after mid year 2023 it comes from the factory with the "new" pump. Ideally, you want one that has good maintenance records. These EcoDiesels don't do well with poor maintenance... so better to get one that has good dealership records...
  2. Sport S Capability

100% agree on a bit bigger tire... the stock Sport looks a bit off in my opinion, but that's just my personal preference. I own multiple Jeeps and I have for a long time... I think my addiction to mods is out of control at this point lol. I think one of the biggest benefits of lockers in my...
  3. 3.0 Willys buy or not-advice

Short trips on the 3.0 are not really a big deal as long as you take it on some highway runs semi-frequently to get it good and hot, the diesels love to work and get nice and toasty. A few tips below... some of them already mentioned! - Run an additive with every single tank for lubrication...
  4. Sport S Capability

Side bar, as I'm not really interested in dealing with the man-child trolling in here. These are some beautiful pictures, well done.
  5. Just got my JTR back from paint repair

That's terrible... I'm starting to get a bit of corrosion on the edge of my hood and I'm debating if I even want to deal with it. I feel like they're going to mangle it.
  6. 37 inch vs my 33 inch. Same tire weight. Does Tire weight or Tire size matter more?

I always forget how untruthful tire manufacturers are... just insane. If it's marketed as a 37, it should be a 37.
  7. 37 inch vs my 33 inch. Same tire weight. Does Tire weight or Tire size matter more?

To be fair, OP is running a Sport I think. A Mojave/Rubicon can run 37s with generally no issues, even without a lift. I don't think a Sport will even clear 37s from a fender perspective. Everyone in this thread is 100% accurate... larger the tire, mass, etc is more drag on the vehicle. If it's...
  8. Help improve my ride.

You pretty much want to turn your Gladiator into a Mojave if you want to be able to hit some ruts at speed comfortably. One option that would be pretty cheap is if you could find a take-off Mojave suspension from someone who's upgraded... might be a cheap way to get close to Mojave-level...
  9. My real world MPG... yours may differ!

You 100% lose MPG on winter blend with all the anti-gelling additives, at least here in Canada.
  10. Help improve my ride.

Sounds like tire pressure + shocks will do it for you. Bilstein 5100s are pretty popular around here.
  11. Help improve my ride.

Lower those tires down to 30-32psi in my opinion and see how you feel... it should feel much more planted. If you find that sway bar disconnect is giving you a much better feel, those are some damn rough roads LOL. Anti-Rocks are seriously awesome though, and I'd recommend them to anyone who...
  12. Help improve my ride.

100%. I have a 21 JTRD like yourself and I still have the stock suspension with a 1.5" Teraflex leveling kit, and it rides smooth with 37s at 30psi. The shocks on the 21 JT Rubicons are so bad, but it still rides very well on dirt roads at proper tire pressure. If you want to bomb through a...
  13. Help improve my ride.

First question before you change anything.... Whats your tire PSI at? You most certainly do not need sway bar disconnects for fire roads.
  14. If possible looking for Speedo/Tachometer pics of JTDiesel auto w/ 37's and 4.56 gears @ 55,65 mph

37s on a 21 JTRD with 3.73s, I noticed zero difference and I continue to get insane fuel economy on the highway. I agree with a lot of the folks that 3.73 vs 4.10 really isn't that big of a difference, and you'll find plenty of people on this forum that say after they went to 4.10s they...
  15. Roaming Gladiator - Build Thread

Thank you! It's getting there. Have another surgery coming up in a few weeks so it'll be a bit quiet, but lots of changes coming up. Aiming to do an entire suspension rebuild this summer, just trying to lock in the specifics. After doing lots of research and trying to support North American...
  16. Metalcloak RockSport Blacks - Adjustable Reservoir Shocks - Now Available

I kind of like the gold honestly, looks good with the sting grey and black. Appreciate the info!
  17. Metalcloak RockSport Blacks - Adjustable Reservoir Shocks - Now Available

Appreciate the testimony! Now to find a Canadian dealer so I can avoid that pesky duty haha.
  18. Metalcloak RockSport Blacks - Adjustable Reservoir Shocks - Now Available

@Metalcloak How does your zinc plating hold up to the east coast? I'm in the planning phases of my suspension build and trying to decide on what vendor to use. I'm trying to stick with the same vendor for OCD sake haha. Trying to stick with Canadian/American made as much as possible. AEV w...
  19. Sport S Capability

Lets not feed the troll folks LOL, the guy is clearly quite grumpy and either inexperienced or delusional. Of course, it is a free country and everyone is welcome to do to their vehicles what they wish. Stock Jeeps are quite capable, don't kid yourself OP that you need to go mod crazy right...
  20. Stereo upgrade

Unfortunately, with the 24s just coming out and things being redesigned its going to take some time for vendors to get updated.
