I'll let you know LOL. I'm in the process of getting tuned on this Gladiator and debating on doing the race tune for shits and giggles, just takes a while from a turn around perspective.
Well, depending on how dedicated you are to getting a 40 that is feasible. There are a few people who have rebuilt the rear frame section holding the tire to fit a 40.
Think Down2Mob just did it recently as well when he was swapping over to a camper.
21 JTRD with the Alpine sound system... I replaced the dash and overhead speakers with 4 Kenwood KFC-X3Cs and poly-filled the sound bar. Night and day difference for $250.
Sounds really good now, not hollow at all. Of course it all depends on your music needs... the 8" sub works great for me...
That was my train of thought. I'm running 37s on stock gears in a 21 JTRD currently, and I have the EOC Transmission Tune. I noticed zero difference going from 33s to 37s from a performance perspective. I'm about to add the Stage 1 Tune/Delete from EOC which in its base form adds 20hp/30tq.
I...
Motobilt makes some great vents for it that are functional. I agree with @Zachanadandy, depending on where you are you can remove the insulation entirely. I doubt it's doing much to dampen noise, and if you're in places that are warm all year around you don't need to worry about heat retention.
Just had surgery to fix a broken nose, so it's been a bit quiet from a modification standpoint... just lots of ongoing planning to make sure I'm going down the right path. A few minor things done in the last few weeks.
HPFP recall performed at the dealership. Everything looks good with this...
37s on my 21 JTRD with factory gearing... I noticed absolutely zero difference going from 33s to 37s from a power standpoint. I'm also running an EOC transmission tune, which improved the transmission response insanely.
I'm averaging 12L/100KM (19.5mpg) since putting on 37s and that's mostly...
For those who do not want to clone it themselves... EOC will clone it for you and honestly, the price isn't much different. They want $450 CAD + shipping for the ECU and will clone your stock one if you send it to them. Sounds like most people here spent around $400 CAD to buy the ECU and the...
I would tend to agree with this if you're mechanically inclined and feel comfortably fully reverting to stock whenever you need to go to the dealership.
Stage 1 is just a bit easier time wise, since it's just an ECU swap whenever you need to go in.
I did not personally. I have factory 4.10s with the Diesel and I noticed no difference going from 33s to 37s. I still intend on regearing, but it's low on my list since the Diesel hauls nicely. I'm building out this Gladiator to do the Pan American Highway, so once I start loading it up with...
I don't think owning a Jeep is responsible at all haha, it's an addiction! Interesting on the axle shift, didn't notice that at all with the leveling kit.
You will always regret being cheap on suspension components, at least in my experience. The Teraflex 1.5" gives you a nice level with very little rake (Almost none on a JTRD). You also should not be using geo correction brackets until you're over a 3" lift, unless it's a pavement princess then...
This seems like quite a lot for a kill switch! You can just wire up a switch to your start button, only takes a few minutes and just hide the switch in your vehicle. In the end, these are all just deterrents. If someone really wants your vehicle... they'll just flat bed it.
You can find their website on Google, their email is [email protected]. Chris is super popular and responds in order, so takes some time to hear from them.
The only company you need to concern yourself with for everything and anything EcoDiesel delete is EOC (EcoDiesle Owners Canada). They are by far the most recommended company for EcoDiesels.
They can be a bit slow to respond... but just email them, they'll get back to you (May take a week or...
I would recommend at least doing a Stage 1. Deleting the EGR will immensely help your engine life. You can just clone your ECU and get a Stage 1 tune from EOC on it. Then you can just pop in your factory ECU whenever there's a warranty issue.
Then full delete after warranty. Just my two cents!
Deleting emissions is a direct violation of your warranty, and it says so directly in the manual. I would say you will have a hard time finding a dealership that will warranty your powertrain once it's deleted. You will have no recourse if they deny it as well... and if the shops a real prick...
This is awesome! Thanks for weighing everything, that's super helpful. Also planning on deleting my rear seats and building out some storage in there as I turn my JTRD into an overlander. Looking to do some drawers + storing my battery systems in there.
That's some solid weight savings.
I had the leveling kit on it before I put the 37s, and it drove identical. Actually felt a bit better going over bumps. These are Load Range E 37s so they're a bit rougher and I'm still tweaking the balancing, but honestly drives great. I would not offroad with 37s and a leveling kit, but it'll...
