What are the measurements when using limiting straps?
What part of Jeep's suspension system is responsible for limiting droop? I thought it was the shocks? Hence my question of max extended length of shocks to allow for clearance of our stock front drive shaft. If it is not the Front...
@Metalcloak What do we do if we want to preserve the front drive shaft? Purchase shocks that does not allow the drive shaft to droop so low? If so, what is the max extended length we should consider when purchasing front shocks?
TL:DR - My dealership knows about the TSB but tried several times to avoid addressing the issue with me. After my persistence, I am now scheduled to have my steering box replaced with a new unit in a month (hopefully).
I went to the dealership today to do an oil change/tire rotation and told...
Are the 3" height of the front and rear bump stop spacers adjustable? I ask because 3" seems excessive running 37s on a Rubicon. 1.5" - 2" bump stop spacers up front seems to be enough for 37s. Not sure about the rears.
Thanks for the info. I think I will just stick with what Metal Cloak recommends and go with their optioned 1310 driveshaft. Just waiting on their Black Friday sale now.
Metalcloak has the 1310 driveshaft as an option. Will that suffice for 37s on a JTR? I'm sure it would since it is being offered with the kit. Just making sure before I pull the trigger.
Edit: ... and yes, I do offroad but no hard-core rock crawling (i.e. -Rubicon trail)
So... if you get your aluminum steering box replaced/upgraded with this black metal gear steering box, is the Synergy steering bracket still necessary?

TL:DR - When do you know when to replace your stock suspension (Coils and Shocks)?
Besides the obvious visual checks for leaks, is it just as simple as the typical rebound/bounce test? How long have any of you driven your Jeeps before replacing the suspension system (Miles/years of ownership...
Here is a 35 x 11.5 x R17 by Nitto that fits perfectly on Stock Gladiator wheels:
Although the tires are pricey, still cheaper than purchasing wheels/tires combo.
