Californiajeeping is who you should listen to, since theyāve had both.
I did test drive both and the diesel won out. It does cost more per mile, but it is worth it to me.
On 35s, pretty much all city driving, max 45mph speed limits, I get high 18ās for gas mileage.
On the highway, I get 19...
2WDmine would hop. 4wd and it freakinā pulls.
Rained here for first time in a while, 1/3rd throttle and back end would kick out. Slipped in to 4wd, and launches straight as an arrow; no muss, no fuss.
So itās the OEM factory suspension?
If so, thatās not a āliftā. Sure, a sport will gain an inch, so I guess itās a āliftā. But is potentially misleading?
Iām in TX, but it does hit 110 here.
Zero issues day to day when not towing.
My JTRD has pretty much been trouble free.
I would absolutely get another diesel gladiator, even with diesel at $5/gallon
The amount of travel is increased with a spring lift. It can and does soften the affect of dips, bumps, humps, speed bumps, etc.
Are you playing devils advocate or being serious?
Why is everyone complaining, myself included, about the stock diesel and bottoming out? Is this not a ride issue...
Iām not worried about the airbag situation. Didnāt worry when I strapped my kids into my old JKU.
Being a larger vehicle, with a lift, most vehicles will hit low, the energy, if hit hard enough, will make me flop over.
PS I rode my Harley to McDonalds without a helmet this morning.
