  1. Still f*** no

Ya but you have to remember, I think a similarly equipped Rubi (non-4xe) is only about $4k away from the 4xe rubi. When you add in the fact that you can get the up to $7.5k tax credit, it may be cheaper to buy AND own the 4xe. If you're going to compare it should be similar trim/equipment. I...
  2. Still f*** no

I know you wouldn't :) But you also know the average consumer isn't like you lol. They listen to what the limited (and sometimes wrong or made up) 'knowledge' the dealer gives them. And of course it's usually all rainbow and unicorn farts from their end. The real world hits people but then they...
  3. WTF, first fuel, now DEF?

That's pretty much exactly it. I think the electric heater is an 8Kw unit and Jeep says it's not sufficient to keep the cabin heated and everything at operating temp without draining the battery rapidly. The ICE is the primary heat source for your heater. The electric heater helps to keep the...
  4. Still f*** no

Sure but that means she should look at something other than the 4xe. Mileage is OK for about the first 30-50 miles. If you read on the 4xe forums the mileage is terrible. If you can stay within electric only range and charge before you go anywhere, it's great. It would work out for me on my...
  5. WTF, first fuel, now DEF?

Have you been going into FORM? I'm on the JL forum and it's like no one with a 4xe has done ANY research about it and don't realize that the grill cover in colder weather can help them a ton.
  6. E15?

Yes, it's 10%, thanks for the correction.
  7. E15?

You should be getting about 15% better mileage than us :P Well, less than that as Ethanol isn't void of go power lol.
  8. E15?

Most gas stations in the US use E15 unless specifically stating it is ethanol free or E85. They are allowed UP TO E15 without having to say anything about it. It's pretty much unavoidable. But yes, we are able to use up to E15 with our trucks. @BAT You'd have to go to ethanol free specific...
  9. Is there a stubby antenna available that doesn't suck?!

This just in! Half a dozen eggs is 6 eggs short of a full dozen! Antennas are the length they are from the manufacturer for a reason. While I find it interesting (work loosely in the field) I did do a bit of Googling (would help you) and talked to guys in my office about it. Essentially the...
  10. Mojave Gas Mileage

ANY kind of incline will kill your mileage quickly. Even a small incline you'll see your mileage drop several mpg. If you're in a hilly area I would have suggested you get the diesel because the 3.6 hates them. I'm averaging around 20mpg (in my signature), worse in the winter and about 2+/-mpg...
  11. Is Black done? Considering Satin Aluminum or Bronze on Gator JT

The entire point of a forum is to discuss things. In this 1, we're discussing wheels. You're under no obligation to post here (put 2 asterisks simultaneously in your next post if you're here against your will). OP asked for OPINIONS about the wheels, so we gave ours :) @Bantam I think it has...
  12. Is Black done? Considering Satin Aluminum or Bronze on Gator JT

I'd take black any day over nastyass silver wheels. Looks like bare metal no one had the time or money to paint. Silver looks lazy to me, not black lol. Though as I posted above, I'm partial to color matching and Black Rhinos. Now if only I had a LOT more disposable money...
  13. Is Black done? Considering Satin Aluminum or Bronze on Gator JT

How about the BLACK RHINO SOLID in Gator green?
  14. Is the dealer trying to rip me off?

If you're OK with a bit of travel why not hit up Gupton? I just ordered a JL through them and they were about $6k under MSRP, it's great. Message them with your build sheet and Daniel is usually pretty quick about getting back.
  15. Official: Hurricane Twin-Turbo 3.0 I-6 Coming for Jeep With Over 500 HP and 475 ft-lbs!

Honestly I think they didn't announce the 6.4 coming to the Gladiator BECAUSE this was coming down the pipes. I think it will come to us in the SO form and I'm OK with that. I think it will use more fuel and premium at that. I don't see how anyone thinks they're going to save money at the pumps...
  16. Aux battery is still charging

So apparently a connecting cable for some battery sensor was loose. They drained it over night and charged it today fully and it still read 44%. They unplugged and re-plugged the cable and it showed 100%. My ESS worked all the way home :) I have no idea what cable it was.
  17. Aux battery is still charging

Quasi-update: I'm in a loaner Wrangler Unlimited Willy's right now. They told me around 1pm it would be about 2 hours. Around 3 the guy came to get me and said it would be longer and asked me if I wanted a loaner (thanks Jeep Wave). I got it and went back in at 5 before they closed. He said they...
  18. Aux battery is still charging

Perhaps he's behind because people sit and talk to him at length about things :P
