So what is causing the cam failure? There appears to be no way to prevent it. If it is going to happen then it just will. But some never will fail. If mine fails I am not going to hear it.
My '22 JTR still has the factory batteries and my ESS is turned off with a Tazer. I've had no problems with them but thinking about doing an R & R while I can do it in my garage. What do ya think? Best batteries ?
Spoke with my dealer service manager friend yesterday about this. The repair of the cam does not fix the issue. They don't know what causes it. Kick the can down the road.

Does anyone know what dealer can see about trans issues with looking at it on the computer. Will they see the reverse clunk or hard 3-4 shifts. That clunk is pounding the transfer case.
It depends on the level of off road you want to do. Most off road can be done with a well appointed suv like a Lexus GX 550. But the JT makes a statement the others don't.
