A buggy windshield is a fact of life with a jeep. I simply applied a 6 inch strip of chip tape across the front of the hood not for bugs but for paint protection. I can live with bugs on the windshield, I do not live in fla so no love bugs for me.
I was at the jeep fest, vendors were okay the rooftop tent was over 2 grand, the running boards from one vendor was priced at 900 installed, I did not ask for the power steps price. The factor 55 vendor was priced okay, some items were worth buying. A lot of vendors had no stock on site, they...
The safety features are nice. I am glad I do not have lane departure, a lot of people with that feature hate it. Some lane departures will fight the steering in a avoidance steering situation.
I, being older retired and has spent a lot of time on the ground in all weather, I overland so my jt will pull a military m101a2 trailer. I will have a bat wing awning, roof two tent, a hot water shower. I have a 9x12 out door patio rug, plus other equipment. I do over landing not rock crawling...
I depends on your preference, soft tops more noise, harder to heat or cool, hard tops less noise, rear defroster and wiper for the shifty days. I like hard tops because I have a hearing loss and for me to hear the radio and to talk on the cell. Having been in open top or no top for over 20...
The big reason the freedom tops are white is for light, a black paint job will like sitting in a cave, plus white reflects heat, black absorbs heat. If you want to redo the freedom panels do as some other keepers do, add a velcro panel where you can collect and display your off roads patches
Just be glad you did not fire over the roof or the hood, you think a tail light is bad to buy, an ar can crease you hood good, take a tactical vehicle course of fire with a aluminum hood.

Okay tire torque, if you use the factory lug wrench your screwed, i carry a large 4 way lug wrench that way I have for all my jeeps, in my jt it fits nicely behind the drivers side passenger seat, my tree saver and recovery strap also fit if you try.
I am not a fan of chains in a dynamic recovery, but great for a static load, like a winch recovery with the synthetic rope, then you have a part of your recovery gear that does not loads up on energy in case of failure. If you have the need get a j hook bridle that is used on a roll back...
I agree pulling from a hitch with shock load is a very bad idea, you are pulling in a single point of failure, if both hooks are used with a bridle on both ends is the best, then you have multiple points of failure. however ever who carries recovery bridles?
I find that breaking equipment for a living as a test bed or stress analysis is fine because it needs to be done for a good product to be fielded. To break equipment because you want to is not in my book,
I drove three jeeps depending on what I am doing, fishing or a little bumming around i drive my cherokee, or kayaking i drive my 2014 lifted, 4 door rubicon, or if just around town or a short trip I drove the rubicon gladiator depends on my mood and what I am doing plus I spread the mileage...
I will venture to a spot light is a tool, how you use a tool, correctly or incorrectly, an asset to control invasive animals, wild hogs, some deer, other wild life. Game management so that a health herd can be managed and hunted. At the same time another person can misuse a spot light. The...
