Check out the Curt Spectrum. It is the same concept having a small remote dial. Unlike the Redarc, the Curt dial can be surface mounted, no drilling required. You can get the controller and a harness that makes it truly plug and play, no splicing.
My father would crawl up out of his grave to beat my butt for doing this. There really are only negatives with this beyond saving a few bucks. Even if you don’t rotate in the spare, put a right-sized tire on the steelie. Your safety and travels won’t be hampered.
The Curt does not require drilling, that is an option. The control knob can be surface mounted with double sided tape. I put mine on the console in front of the t-case shifter. It’s a good location for me within fingertip reach for a quick tap if needed while towing. I was considering the...
I have been very impressed with the adaptive cruise control in Houston traffic. I did not have high expectations at all but have found it to work amazingly well. I find the whole speed up, slow down sequences annoying and ACC keeps me from tweaking speed in this kind of PITA driving. This single...
We have all done some things that my grandmother would have classified as just plain “ignurnt”. I got my share of examples but I ain’t sharing today. I’ll let you have the spotlight :)
Down to business, I’m thinking the Gladiator is so new that you may be stuck with a direct replacement from...
The link is obfuscated. Such surveys must be to avoid manipulation of the results. You can’t just substitute your VIN or the like. Mine took almost a week to be sent. Check your email spam, junk folders in case it got routed there.
Glad your experience was positive. Mine definitely was not and...
The links they send to you in the email are unique to your vehicle purchase and can’t be shared. As noted above, the survey is hosted by a third party provider for FCA.
Remember that affiliate pricing and such is dependent upon dealer participation. Last time I used affiliate discount, it was to be mentioned up front and not a surprise to them as a final negotiation move. A key point of these discounts is to know your are getting a reasonable deal without...
My carpet had the holes precut so much I was able to just pull one of them loose with my fingers, no blade. I tossed them in my JT “take-offs” bin just in case I wanted to pu them back for some reason. A little tape on the back side would hold it better than when I got it new.
I like these...
400 watts isn’t going to do anything heavy, but it will run chargers for power tools. I find that very handy.
I’m liking the pole too. I wonder what that package goes for.
I did a little final tweak on my 67 Desugns rail mount and phone holder. It is a bit pricey but solid. It holds my iPhone 8 Plus in an otterbox case nicely. Phone not shown since it was taking the quick pics.
Then my all weather Mopar mats. I do like these.
Finally, I got my Curt Spectrum...
Are these holes actually tapped M6? The machine screws I got don’t really bite. I had to dig the bedliner out of mine. Just thought I’d check before going bigger and making it work.
