I tapped my truck mounted gmrs to the line for my cigarette lighter, which was then replaced with the factory brake controller. Haven't had any problems with it, I keep at least 1 handheld handy all the time, if not one for every seat. Also have my modest light bar hooked up to my aux 1 button...
If you've ever gone spelunking behind the panels, you'll also see that so many of the plastic parts are still stamped with the Plymouth logo, same on my '14 Cherokee Fiat, no wonder we can't find the right parts......
Well said @Coltron_Actual, same here. Clifford is an awesome name, I assume it's a huge red truck that likes to get into mischief....I named mine Stanley, borrowed a little bit from the honey badger and a lot more from family memories, tasteful name tag that closely matches the Rubicon badging...
Factory Rubi wheels and tires, Wildpeak AT3 33". I'm just a bit over 40k miles on them and they're still(maybe) just under half tread. I've wheeled and crawled some with them, been very happy and they still look sturdy. Next set is going to be Wildpeak AT4 35" metric, they fit on the factory...
I think we're thinking along the same lines, you'd have to have something besides the traditional hard springs, shocks and single track bar to keep the axle centered. They do a multi link suspension on the Baja racers for kinda the same reason because of how tall/long of coilovers shocks and...
It's taking the doors off to get the knees in the breeze, but keeps things from bouncing out, like nieces, pets, etc. also gives a better flow through to keep the air from buffeting in the cab. Half doors do keep water and crud from blowing up the legs of your shorts if you get caught out in...
That's going to get squidgy real quick, likely to roll the airbags of their perches or split the bag. Think about the old playground rocking horse things and how those springs worked.
I let the guardian trial expire after I got mine, used it a couple times for weather, was kinda nice with the Jeep app, you could lock your doors if you forgot, locate with a honk, etc. But it was more novelty and expensive. My ORP still works and I use it regularly, I can also still go into...
Unlifted, my '22 Rubi handled well, unloaded, loaded, overloaded, towing my camper up until about 30k miles when I started to get an occasional hop mostly on the passenger side, but sometimes on the driver side. It seemed to be temperature dependant, ~45 deg or lower. I read a lot of similar...
I'm kinda 50/50 on the half doors.....HAAA, see what I did there. I'd probably consider them if I didn't have tube doors, my 2 main gripes going without doors, is 1: there's no place to rest your knee on the driver side(I'm not a dead pedal guy), and 2: there's nowhere to rest your left elbow...
I get the general concept, but can someone dumb it down or cliff note it? I'm just past 40k miles on my '22, been running Lucas fuel additive fairly consistently, really notice a drop when I miss a tank.
Huge wheels and low profile tires, especially the low pro "AT or MT tires", angry grills, I haven't seen curb feelers yet, but I'm sure someone has done it......my curb feelers are AT, and they're more like curb meh-ers. Lifts that probably cost more than the vehicle to mall crawl. Excessive...
You're good buddy, I was the one who wasn't paying attention. That door sticker you posted wasn't from me, I just checked mine again and it's a 926. That difference is probably the difference between the gas and diesel. The diesel and matching trans is about 500-700 lbs heavier, different...
Like I said, that's the stock sticker for a non Mopar lifted diesel Rubi. I don't know what the numbers are since I did the lift. I also need to take it up to the scales and see what it weighs now. Those bigger springs, shocks and arms are significantly heavier that the ones that came off
Defiantly ask questions about the spring rates. I did the Mopar 2" on my Rubi with a 1" spacer in front to ease out the rake. Ended up more like a 3" lift when it was all measured out. The springs that came with the lift were progressive, so sitting higher unloaded it feels kinda squishy...
