  1. Gladiator bent frame offroading with trailer? Why do you think this happened?

Testimonial to the effectiveness of the braking system
  2. Gladiator bent frame offroading with trailer? Why do you think this happened?

Redistributing the shock load will only move the point of failure to the next component in the hierarchy of weakest point. It goes like this for example: I'm blowing out tires (because they are overloaded) so I buy tires rated for higher capacity, meaning more air Now I'm cracking wheels, so I...
  3. Disappointing POS garage opener

LOL, I hope you get it fixed without having to call Gomers Garage Door Company to help you out I suspect there is a learning sequence for the receiver, but I don't know. There is however some irony in your profession and your problem though, maybe lighten up a little bit and laugh.
  4. Disappointing POS garage opener

I don't think this thread turned out like the "wireless network engineer" intended it to.
  5. Regaining 30 HP / 20 TQ - Interesting Video post 37s and power loss

Correct, re-gearing will only perceptibly mitigate loss of hp/tq when increasing rotating/un-sprung mass. To replace the lost hp/tq due to an increase in un-sprung/rotating mass something will have to be done to the engine to effect that change. All the cold air intake and free flowing...
  6. Gladiator bent frame offroading with trailer? Why do you think this happened?

Quite a few pics of Colorado/Canyon that suffered this similar failure. In those cases attributed to high speed off roading and trailering. Frame looks bent, dumb assery likely. Probably a spacer lift with shock extensions so he could fit his "twennys", coupled with a lack of attention, speed...
  7. Disappointing POS garage opener

You're a "wireless network engineer", your "wireless network" is currently breaking it off in your ass. I can see where this would bee a real problem for you.
  8. Regaining 30 HP / 20 TQ - Interesting Video post 37s and power loss

There are literally no free rides. Those who believe there are, are destined to be disappointed. Re-gear, do what you can to free up exhaust and improve intake temperature without sacrificing filtration, keep tire and wheel weight as low as possible. From there determine if the juice is...
  9. Disappointing POS garage opener

I'd just throw a match to it before I suffered such indignity.
  10. Amfib raised air intake, where sold

Thanks. I don't think I agree with the not blocking anything, but thanks for the effort for sure..
  11. Amfib raised air intake, where sold

Any chance of a picture from the drivers position? I'm very concerned that because of its location over the glass it creates a visual obstruction
  12. Maximus-3 JT Roof Rack System Officially Launched - Now Available

@Maximus-3, is this going to be the same height as the Overland rack (when ready)?
  13. License plate with winch?

I built my own, comes off in seconds with 2 socket head screws, also serves to keep some dirt and debris out of the winch line.
  14. Kenda Klever R/T KR601 35x10.50R17

$840 shipped for 5 from WaMa, I just ordered. I was going to order 315/70R17 Wildpeak AT3W for $1568 mounted and balanced from Discount , but I'm going to give the Kenda a shot at a little over half the cost. We'll see.
  15. Delete push button start, go back to keyed ignition? The rfid brick has to go...

LOL, you should change your screen name to Mr. Hyperbole. And it's a 2.5 ton DEATH MACHINE! Now I'm going to have nightmares about roving bands of killers with match box sized weiners in skinny jeans driving hacked Gladiators. The HORROR!
  16. Auxillary Switch Group

With that time window I would absolutely order it exactly the way I want it. In fact I did, and because some items were blocked at the time I still didn't get exactly what I wanted, but I got damn close.
  17. Delete push button start, go back to keyed ignition? The rfid brick has to go...

I'd be inclined to say that less than 10% of new vehicles are keyed access/operation since 2010. Does that open up the possibility of failure? Of course. Things change, things get better and sometimes worse, but given the opportunity to buy 1970's,80's,90's tech or todays, I'll take todays...

I got some bad news for you buddy, if your unit is the size of a key fob nobody is going to be impressed.
