Yikes. My JTR would now cost $445 more. Clever "stealth" price increase, Jeep. This won't get reported because the base prices aren't increasing, but it's effectively a ~1% increase for most buyers.
Punk'n Orange +$195
8.4" & Alpine +$100
LEDs +$50
Tow +$100
My Gladiator now has ~2,500 miles on it, including two road trips and one overlanding trip, and I feel like I've finally gotten a handle on the manual transmission. I had a 3.6 MT JK before this, and boy are they different animals. The JK shifted like a truck, and the shifter vibrated like a...
Having owned this color for over a month, it's even better than I hoped it would be. There's a "rightness" to the color. Not too red. Not too yellow. Not too dusty. People who call it "traffic cone orange" need to see one in person. It really is pumpkin orange. It feels organic, not...
Disagree. There is no more capable off-road pickup than the Gladiator. The Power Wagon and Raptor are both quite capable, but their size is a real deficit on the trail. The ZR2/Bison is a terrific truck, but articulation is fundamentally limited by its IFS.
For a pick-up currently on sale...
To ask the question is to answer it. You shouldn't. People will argue that the auto is superior, and it is in most every way. Likewise, a salad is superior to a steak, health-wise. Your doctor can't give you a good reason to choose the steak. That doesn't mean you should stop eating steak.
The AJT Designs fob is terrific. Not a ton smaller, but boy what a difference. More wieldy. Better made. Their online install videos make switching a snap. Highly recommend.
There won’t be a lower price or a 2-door. The upcoming Dakota will cover that ground. There will be more special editions. Colors will change each year. Jeep is very predictable in many ways.
They won't be to everyone's taste. Some will prefer beefier (and much heavier) rails. Some will prefer more functional steps that aren't rock rails. For the price, quality, and weight, I like the balance these provide. I'm an overlander, not a rock crawler, and these should work for what I do...

About 4". If you need a truly dedicated step, then you should definitely buy a dedicated step, as there's the possibility of shoe/body contact here. I'm not super worried about it since I'm getting PPF installed on the rockers. Plus, I don't need a step to get into the Jeep. I bought these...
