That’s a sweet setup but not sure about a daily driver. If you’ve never had full hydro steering it’s awesome for a buggy but sketchy on the highway.
It’s more about you would have to go full hydro steering if you ditch the trackbar. The Trackbar is required on a solid front axle when you have a frame mounted steering box with a draglink. The Trackbar and draglink have to work together or you would have some crazy bumpsteer. Full hydro isn’t...
I would have totally done that if they were a bolt on part but I have yet to find a tool that unbolts a welded part. The frame tusks are welded to the frame and hang down about 9” and must be less then 7” requiring 2” to be cut off.
Yes because in order to install this bumper you must cut off the 2 mounts that the skid plate bolts up too. It’s pretty tucked away and much higher. It’s not 100% protected but I feel safe where it’s now located.
I’m running the EVO 1/4 pounder, you don’t cut the frame horns but you do chop the “tusks” that hang down then flip the swaybar motor up to gain a ton of room from the factory hanging down. Also to note the JL/JT frame horns are about 3/4-1” shorter in how are they stick out compared to the JK...
@Rock Krawler Suspension Do you have a measurement of your kit with the 3” springs like let’s say front the rear bumpstop pad on the axle to Maybe the bottom of the frame side bump stop isolator mount? I’m wanting to lower my jeep and want to know how much lower your springs will get me.
you definitely don’t need the front unless your shocks are over 32” extended. Just cut the metal bracket off that connects it to b the control arm. Keep was smart when they did that.
Great question, does it drive? Yes but you can feel it straining and it kills the power compared to my 37s before. I thought the 37s were fine with 4.10s. With 40d it reminds me of running 37s on my jk with 4.10s.
