Odd - I've done the Mopar rain cover with doors off and roof on, and the gap was nowhere near this drastic. Yes, there was a gap along the bottom of both doors, and the front/bottom corner of each front door, but nowhere near this distance. ? I wonder if it simply stretches over time?
Same here - I did the Rydonair 13" - I don't notice any loss of reception at all. $26 from Amazon, easy install, and WAY less smacking around of the antenna when I drive through the car wash.
Quadratec has this Hoist-a-Cart for the JL and JK - I've wondered if there isn't any reason this wouldn't work for the JT - just approach the vehicle from the side vs. the rear? The lift point looks like it should pivot in any direction. $600 bucks, tho - ☹...
I also was initiated in using this at the recent Jeep Adventure Academy near Phoenix. It is a VERY cool feature indeed, once you learn how to use it and play around with it. Your JT will basically completely take over on acceleration and braking, all at a pretty slow pace (that's adjustable)...
Yes, quite happy - they were an easy install, look way similar to the OEM latches, and lock/unlock with an easy turn of the key. I kept the OEM latches just in case they crap out way down the road, but so far so good. One other poster said he bought these same ones and they started rusting - I...
You need to adjust the volume while the text message is being read. I do this for both text messages and the GPS voice via the volume control on the steering wheel.
I had seen others post about the possibility of this, so I kept my OEM latches just in case. To date, though, I have not had any rusting, and believe me - I run my JT through the wash VERY regularly and have no rust issues. YMMV.
Nope - it comes with shock extensions; see here. Seeing as the OEM tire is 32", I can't imagine another inch making that much of a difference - in fact, I think I've seen a few Overland owners on this board order theirs with 33s. I mostly did it to eliminate the rake, but once I saw how much...
I did a level kit on my Overland and fit 35s comfortably: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/achieved-the-look-and-function-i-wanted-overland-with-35s-and-leveling-kit.35816/
I know, that's not stock - but it's not a full-on lift, either.
You can "play with" online calculators all you want - the final details will be worked out, and included, when you go in and work the deal with the dealer you end up choosing. Yes, some dealers are allowing you to do most, or all of that, online now. You know the routine - there are tons of...
I can only speak to my own personal experience with my Ridge Grapplers - I had the same concern as you (didn't want the road noise). See here; they are doing great so far...
Not wheels-deep in mud, but my Overland did absolutely everything the other 50 Jeeps or so did at last weekend's Jeep Adventure Academy in Wickenburg, AZ - with absolutely no issues (which was not the case for some Jeeps that had more lift/tire than mine, surprisingly). Just a few clips -
