If you are wheeling in mud and dirt I would suggest giving up on rotating the spare in. Mine hits constantly and is very dirty. I would just leave the steelie down there and buy a cheap tire in the same size for a spare. Save a few bucks since it won’t be seen anyway. I got the tire shop to get...
Simple. Order it exactly as you want and find a dealer who will go 5-8% below invoice. Don’t try to calculate off MSRP. Best deal is to know invoice and start there. Not all dealers will work with you though. Find a high volume dealer and they are more likely to help you out.
So this is completely inaccurate. While the rubicon isn’t for every use case it is not $23k more. Similar equipped overland or sport will make it closer to a $5k upgrade. For that you get parts that are very valuable for those taking it off road including a 4:1 transfer case, front and rear...
Well I can attest to longer than 3-4 weeks. My order was placed on August 17th on the Ace website, Order #7159, and they have not yet shipped. So I am 6 weeks in so far. Just clicked the link and in "order confirmed" state. Hope to see them soon. They will be worth the wait though. I have...
Based on my experience I would suggest the longer 3.5-4” shocks. And I have not needed a new front driveshaft and actually have 3/4” spacers on top of my EVO coils. I have wheeled it hard and have no driveshaft issues so far.
Ok makes sense. I have never run a diff skid but have run diff covers mostly ARB on my past and current Jeep. I have wheeled some pretty rough black and red rock trails at Rausch Creek without damage issue to the diffs. I will say that I have been hung up at the diffs though many times and it’s...
thats true and a good thought. A small lift would look fine with the stock tires. And you really don’t need much if anything for 35s on a rubicon and a very small lift on a non rubicon. I think it would look very odd with my 4” lift on stock tires though but boy would the 4.88s pull a camper...
Agreed but from the drivers seat I don’t notice a difference. I did feel a difference when I was still on 4.10s with the 37s but much better post regear. I am guessing the primary difference is the added weight of the tires.
Thanks. I wasn’t thinking bigger than yours. Was meaning bigger than I currently tow. I have a 26’ TT that weighs 4800 lbs. dry, was looking at a 30’ that weighs 5300 lbs dry. I am not stock though and running on 37” tires on a Rubicon with 4.88 gearing. I pull my current TT just fine but really...
Nice looking rig. What is the weight and dimensions? How does it tow? I am looking to go a little bigger and not sure the JT will be happy with bigger.
