Yup. You likely will have stuff loosen but if the properly torque and use lock tite that should help. Helps to learn to do the work yourself and jump under every once in a while.
In the mid 90s I put a remote start in my manual Jeep using a set of springs surrounding the shift pattern that had a ground running to the remote start disabling the system when it sensed ground from the stick touching the spring. Worked great and would only start when the trans was in neutral...
I haven’t yet. Been looking at my options and I like the Hamburger with their keep relationship and located about an hour from me but may look at other options due to the intake concerns.
Not often but I do go through stuff that turns out to be deeper than expected. Without a snorkel I have had no issues up to top of headlights just below the hood line and with a snorkel over the hood doesn’t create an issue. I don’t do this on purpose but it happens at times.
Did you find a resolution to the open air box? That is the only thing holding me back. I wheel in water too much and don’t want to create an issue with hydro lock. Or at minimum worry me constantly.
Selling my 3 month old partial top. Its the Mopar branded solid (same material as soft top) cover. Works well for sun or minor rain protection. I gave in and picked up a full soft top so no longer need this partial top. Was $269.99 new, asking $200 shipped.
Here is the top...
My shop uses Revolution gears and has had a great experience with them. They switched from Yukon as their gear of choice to Revolution and said it was due to more consistent quality. No idea how accurate that is but its what they said. So far so good with about 8k miles on my Revolution 4.88s...
I am sure based on lots of feedback that either route will work and solve the issue. Some say the 5.13 is not as strong as the 4.88 in a Dana 44 but not sure I have the technical gearing skillset to provide feedback to validate or explain why. What I do know is that I went 4.88 and am very...
Yes that was very similar with mine. It was only from about 50-65 on mine and only made the noise when I was on the gas. When I let off the gas it stopped. One way to check is to remove the rear driveshaft and drive in 4wd (making it front wheel drive). That’s how I proved it was the issue to...
Mine had a noise like this and after 2+ months of troubleshooting my dealer followed my recommendation and replaced the rear driveshaft. Noise was gone. There was a recall back last summer for early 2019 builds but somehow my vin didn’t qualify for the recall. But the rear driveshaft was bad...
Seems like the actual “on topic” conversation was about a page with the question answered on page 1. Then the unfriendly commentary began and took it off the rails for 4 more pages. Hard to judge who the problem is I guess?
Depends on if you wheel the truck and if its a Rubicon. If you just drive on the street and its a Rubicon (with the higher fenders) yes no problem, if wheeling in rocks then you will likely want a little more height. I added a 3/4" spacer on top of the EVO coils on my Rubicon with 37s because...
Aren't we all here with a common passion for Jeeps? Can't we just help each other without being nasty or judgmental? One of my favorite parts of having a Jeep is the community culture. Sometimes questions asked could be answered with a quick search or reading the manual but many of us are...
