Yes - for now........... that may change some day.............
You'd have to prep - leave it in neutral, parking brake set, whatever, and it would have to detect being in neutral with brake set.

Years ago they said you couldn't put cruise on a stick either.
That ended in the 90s when it became rather common to see cruise on a stick.
I adapted cruise to my 82 SX4 - with a T5
Ha! I had an 82' Eagle SX4, too... quite a tank it was.

This is mine - pic taken last spring - note cruise control near A/C compressor and PDC.

I have 3 Jeeps and 4 vehicles with Jeep engines and another Jeep engine sitting by my shop.

I need to get the remote entry system working. I bought a used one and set everything up and it won't function. The thing isn't taking any signals from the transmitters - I think it was bad when I bought it. I stuck it up in the dash above and behind the glove box so have to take the dash apart to get to the brains of the system and relays I installed to operate the door locks and hatch release.

Could someone with a base model open their fob and take a photo of both sides of the circuit board?

base model: no buttons, manual crank windows.

I had a remote start on a convertible five-speed RX-7 in the 90s. Compustar was the first brand that I found who made a system specifically for manuals, and also had two-way remotes. What it would do is keep the engine running until you got out and closed the door. Then it would turn the engine off, so it "knew" that you weren't in gear. Worked great.

Like the convertible that I had it in, and would leave it parked with the top down all the time?

In the mid 90s I put a remote start in my manual Jeep using a set of springs surrounding the shift pattern that had a ground running to the remote start disabling the system when it sensed ground from the stick touching the spring. Worked great and would only start when the trans was in neutral. I tried to sell the design to a car alarm company and they weren’t interested due to the risk.

I am looking for up to 10 beta testers. We've gone through several iterations with improvements being made based on my use. The photos below show the current version I have been using and the renders show the next generation I expect to have Monday.

Beta units should be ready by Monday November 23rd. If you are interested, please complete this form to be included. Ten testers are all we can accommodate and it's first come first serve.

The beta fobs will not be water-resistant. I don't have the beta terms pulled together, yet. Once I get the beta list pulled together, I will send each individual a short questionnaire with additional details.

I chose the red color and icons for the fob shown. There will be an opportunity to specify the color for the beta fobs (red is not the only option). The print on the back is just intended to show that the fob can be customized.

Once the beta is complete we will work on a water-resistant option. Then an option with built-in key.

Well I started filling out the form and the thought occurred to me to see if I could gut my fob first. I got the cover off but there seems to be 4 fasteners(allen heads?) If so I tried some of the smaller ones I could find and none fit. I'll look for more come morning. Is that what's holding it? If so what size?

Edit: I would be a no button tester if it matters.

Ok I found a video, and it says it takes a small torx ( 7/64" allen key )I don't have any tiny torx bits ( 7/64" allen keys) but I can procure what I need if someone can tell me the size one. I submitted the form.

Edit: Just thought about it and there wasn't a place for a zipcode.
