With just the standard tow pack ($375) the Pentastar/Auto will pull 6000#, matching the diesel rating. Obviously, with 77% more peak torque, (and more than double the torque at cruising rpm) the diesel will pull stronger, quieter, and more confidently.
That’s exactly what he was telling me. Yes, he may have been generalizing JLs and JTs, but yes- 4 weeks from order to dealer receipt. It’s possible that there are distribution bottlenecks that don’t affect us here, or that he was full of sh-omething, but that’s what I was told.
With used vehicle prices still sky high, I wouldn't base much on what a stealership offers you. Fun fact- they make more on used cars than new one. If you're looking to trade up, make sure you give one of the big used chains a chance to make an offer on your current vehicle. They often pay far...
Seems like the TJ and JK had wide-but-stock-looking fenders available by this time (3 model years into JL). I would love a flare that mimics the Rubicon unit but is 2" wider, ideally with a lip to seasonally run a standard mud flap. I like my tires covered.
To add to the confusion, COMMON tires are between 10 and 12.5” wide. Anything beyond an 11” (285mm) will technically require a wider than stock wheel. The bulk of after market wheels out there will fit tires from 285mm/11” to 315mm/12.50” wide reasonably well. The wheel offset will determine...
Wutt???
Every vendor (that I've seen)lists the same headlight kit for JL and JT. Even Mopar parts vendors list the same Part Number: 82215136AE for both JL and JT.
So yeah- there's missing info.
The Taco comes with a manual in TRD Sport, TRD OffRoad, and TRD Pro. They’re comparable to an Overland, Willys, and Mojave, respectively. All have pretty much the same size tire. I think there would be zero fuel economy penalty for MT trucks to come with 4.30 gears, even 4.56 for 33” tire models.
I suppose actual data would be cool (and honestly, I don't know): what percentage of owners plans to replace the OE tires with a stock size, particularly among the enthusiast oriented 6spd buyers?
I think Toyota spec'd the Tacoma better with their MT option. Both engines have very similar...
It's nice that gearing can be sorted out pretty easily, but Jeep could ship these things correctly in the first place. 4.56 (or even 4.88) should just come on these.
The Falken MTs are pretty good. If you still have handing problems after checking the pressure, you can take a look at your sway-bar disconnect. WITH NO CARS AROUND, and at LOW SPEED, put it in 4wd and poke the disconnect button. Try some swerving back and forth- it should be noticeably MORE...
