Sorry about your experience. While discourteous trail use is just wrong, I've observed conduct the other way around just as often. Same goes for the full-size truck crowd. Or different motorcycle groups, for that matter.
Right, so if you got this and sold off your soft top for a grand, or hard top for two, it would be about the same. I see LOTS of JLU-Rs with that power top.
It's on the same cost level as the JLU power top. If you managed to sell the top that comes on your jeep for reasonable money, it would be about the same. I don't think this looks QUITE as tidy as the JLU top, but a little better color matching in the production process could level that out...
The CJ7 Wiki page lists the 258 at ..... 98hp! 193 for torque. (I'm sure there are year-year and regional variables)Yes, the HO 4.0 made 200hp at some point, the lightest vehicles it came in XJ/MJ were decently quick, especially compared to a TBI4.3 or Cologne 4l V6. The maligned 3.8 "minivan"...
I can't seem to find pricing for the Extreme Recon package. Ford only gets $2500 over the Rubicon-equivalent Badlands to get the rest of the Sasquatch package (which only adds slight lift, fenders and tires/wheels).
I'm curious why the JT doesn't get eTorque, unlike Most JL V6s and all V6 DT Rams. I know it isn't a game changer, but the huge electrical potential would be nice.
I’m-a have to disagree there. There is plenty wrong with the Jeep brand- from the bean counters forcing bad engineering solutions, the horrendous service at some dealers, to the obscene option pricing.
the trans is a version of the same unit in the Hilux and Tacoma. It’s as solid as any other...
I actually find it rather frustrating that everything between a Sport and Rubicon comes with colored flares. The Willys, in particular, looks way better with the black flares, as on the JL.
To go to a bigger tier size requires all sorts of VDC recalibration and validation from a manufacturer. That takes time AND money. Even though I agree that (especially at the price) the 392 should have had 35s, the bean counters just might not have greenlighted it.
If this info is correct, then...
Take a look at the power rating- most pancake compressors are in the 1.5hp range- which won't run on the inverter. China Freight does have tiny 1/3hp model that would run on an inverter.
I got the ECRI interface for our JK. Same unit will work on a JL/JT with an "unlock module". I adjusted tire size, tweaked speedo (does a GPS based cal), changed DRLs around, and lowered my TPM threshold.
You need a one-time access per vehicle. For a JT, you're out $130(ish) but every...
I'm shopping a Bare bones Sport 6-speed right now, so the Diesel option is $8 grand more, between trim (minimum Willys Sport), trans and engine. Yes, I'd get about $3k of that back later on not having to re-gear or replace the clutch. Around here, diesel fuel has been around 15-20% more...
