They apparently don't want their shocks sold to those who aren't running the rest of the components? On one hand, I applaud them for wanting the best outcome and therefore positive feedback from the end users.....On the other, they are missing out on potential sales.
Of all the shocks I have...
I run 4.10's on 38's and tow/load right up to max GCVWR ,run in the mountains mostly with 8-12% grades regularly, and wouldn't want it any other way.
I knew that 10% change on 37's was going to suck, but 38's were in the plans and would spit some of 10% the difference. I did one 3200 mile trip...
Tire size/gearing isn't the real issue here unless a person is running an extremely unbalanced combo like say 42's on 3.73's?
I did a test in my derating thread where I almost back to back (next day) tested 37's and stock tires with almost no change in the result.....in fact it felt much less...
There is already a low pressure fuel pump in the tank.
Hard to say what the real problem is as it seems there haven't been that many failures considering the numbers on the road? I can recall reading about maybe 5 pumps here on the forum out of how many diesel owners? The local dealer says...
Mine was replaced under warranty 13 months ago and it's leaking again. I'm just going to put the silicone vacuum tube back in because it's more reliable.
It may be another solution, but it's hardly the first of it's kind?
Ive been installing and using the systems from Innovative AT for well over 5 years.......its lighter/less bulky, and can be optioned with an air gauge for vehicles that don't have live tpms.
Never the less, best of luck to TJ!
The more I work on getting them dialed in, the more I want one! Just too much $$$$ and the new ones are awd no low range, so you need a $35k+ conversion to get a decent travel rig.
It really depends on the truck's weight, spring rates, where the weight is carried, sway bar rate, and how/where you drive your truck. Pounding whoops all day at high speed is WAY different than driving mostly on the road or towing.
Accutune has been around a while and has to know what they are...
I can tell you first hand that those suck as well........For sure on a truck that has any weight on it. It never stopped wobbling!
Just had a client here with Accutuned 2.0's who bought a set of our custom tuned Elite 2.5's. We traded trucks driving my test route while I narrated what was...
