Would you mind sharing dimensions or build instructions for that cart?
My hardtop has spent the summer flat, taking up a large port of the garage and that not going to work next year.
I don’t have the side cameras yet, but the visible portion of the screen is only 2” smaller than the other screen. It should be plenty with as clear as it is. I’ll post up pics and comments when I get that part done.
I wasn’t thinking of hanging it from the mirror so much as over the mirror...
Update: I tried many more ways to get the 7" screen to work but I just couldn't find a way to get it fit to my satisfaction, so I broke down and ordered the MC5111 with the 5" screen. Good news! It turns out the reviews I'd read of the 5" screen were for the old MC5101 model. The new MC5111...
I gave up on it after spending 2+ hours trying to get it connected to my Shell account. I should have given up after 5 minutes, but I told myself that I was smart and I could make it work.
I changed out my 33s to 35 AT3Ws at 500 miles and I’m at 8500 now. So far I’d say they’re the best tire I’ve ever run on a Jeep, and the wear on them is almost unnoticeable at this point.
Sorry, when I said "8020" I meant the brand 80/20, not a specific aluminum type. Looks like you're using McMaster-Carr, which is selling the 80/20 extrusions, just without the 80/20 name.
You gave me the info I was looking for though, thank you!
I assume that’s 8020? Would you mind sharing your profile or and the measurements of each length? I have a tone of 8020 from an old project and I’ve been thinking about doing something similar to this.
Speaking as a guy with 20+ years in service so far, I just can’t get behind Nineline, Grunt Style, or the rest of those similar brands. They overcharge for shirts that aren’t even US made (I honestly don’t care if my clothes are US made, world economies are tied together, we all have to do well...
Looks good. Going from 33s to 35s is only ever going to net you an inch of height assuming the tire dimensions are accurate. Only one inch of tire goes under the axle, the other inch goes up!
I believe the Casita (like Scamps, Airstreams, Geo/E-Pros, and a number of other trailers) uses a torsion axle, not leaf. Those Sumo springs for trailers will only work on leaf-sprung axles.
The dual top group will drop your payload rating on the sticker as well, as they calculate in the weight of both. This shows that the payload number may not be accurate for how you’re rolling down the road. I know I don’t usually carry around both tops at the same time.
I think people are...
I’ll have to do some more playing. Maybe there’s someway to make the thing work out. You wouldn’t happen to have any pictures of your screen with the 3 cameras up, would you?
Thank for your input, it was super helpful in making our decision. We picked up an E-Pro 20FBS last week and spent two nights in it in Kamiah, ID. Pretty similar to your 19FBS but a foot longer and some items shifted a bit. Super easy tow and great trailer!
Of course, we finished the trip and...
Oh yeah, definitely not leaving anything in place once I park. I spent a year full-timing it with a 30’ Airstream and a Ram 2500. Screen size wasn’t an issue in that truck as it had 2 miles of dashboard and10 square miles of windshield. Even with all that space the screens still came off when I...
