Oh yeah, it would definitely entail more steel. I was picturing making a longer step for it. I didn't really have any alignment issues with mine and I've actually never had to pull mine off. We spend very little time in rocks, most of our trail use is rutted, pot-holed, and washboard.
To actually answer the OPs question: if you want to reverse it you’ll need to disassemble the shifter and find what wires (these could be traces on a circuit board) connect to the switch (or contact) for each direction. Then you’ll need to do some wire moving or trace cutting and soldering to...
The MORE Hide-a-Step is exactly what’s held me back. My wife is pretty short and pretty much needs them. I’m thinking about modifying it to fit with the wider rails.
Hah, you’re right. You said “DeeZee” but I saw “ZipDee”. They’re the manufacturer of the awnings that Airstream uses. I lived in an Airstream full time for a bit, so I’m intimately familiar with just about every component they use!
I’ll add a comment counter to a lot of the others. I’m on 35s with 4.10s and towing 4500 lbs. it does just fine, even in the mountains. I get into 8th gear on flat ground occasionally. It does rev up pretty high on climbs, but even gearing isn’t going to fix that. Gas engines rev for power. Even...
@Glad_he_ate:
Looks great. Nice work on that hitch setup.
@Gren71:
Proper WDH setup can take some time, especially on smaller trucks like the Gladiator. Be patient with it and don’t give up. I still need to redo my setup that the RV dealership installed. No where near enough weight transfer...
DeeZee awnings are completely US as far as I know. Airstreams have a number of components that are made overseas, such as refrigerators, microwaves, AC units, etc.
4 Auto does not switch into and out of low range. However, having it on his JT would eliminate the feeling he's talking about, for reasons that will be clear in a moment.
OP:
The vibration you're feeling, commonly known as "crow-hop" isn't due to any binding so much as just the nature of the...
I’ve had 3 VWs made in Mexico. The only issue I ever had was a loose trim piece on one that rattled. The ones made in Germany had a longer list.
We should all be happy that it’s a “global economy” we live in, patriot or not. The more we all depend on each other financially the more apt we are...
I've seen people add the OEM remote start to Rams, so I'd be willing to bet you can add it to the JT. You'd likely just need to figure out what the missing parts are, and get the programming done.
Crossed 10k miles yesterday. Many of those miles on very dusty trails. Not a peep from the suspension so far. Honestly this is the least noisy Jeep I’ve ever owned.
