Well that’s surprising, but good to hear. I guess they’re not as unrealistic with the Basecamp specs as they are with the traditional trailer specs. Either way, with a 500lb unloaded tongue weight you’re definitely going to want WDH. That front axle is going to feel very light without it.
The standard sport grille (and the Willys) are single piece while the other models have multi-piece grilles with inserts and separate surrounds, so they are different. The bigger grille slots mentioned in that post are on all JTs.
The only post I can find saying it has wider grille slots is yours. The Sport with Max Tow package and the regular sport have the same part number for the grille
As a former Airstream owner, Airstream is notorious for completely fictional tongue weights. My 30’ was listed as under 900lbs. Unloaded it was a bit over 1000, and loaded it was 1200.
I definitely recommend WDH for your trailer, and suggest checking AirForums for someone who has posted actual...
Don’t enable the paddle shifter CSM. It doesn’t function on our Jeeps and isn’t necessary. None of the MOPAR vehicles that currently come with paddle shifters have that enabled.
You won’t get an upshift indicator. The Jeep will shift on its own at redline if you haven’t shifted yet.
Yours really does look better and more useful than theirs. Sometimes Jeep gets a bit too “concepty” with their EJS Jeeps. What’s with the vented fender flares and ridiculous hood?
Just the blue screen. When I hit the surround view button from the app menu I’d get a black screen for a few seconds and then it would go blue with the buttons stretched and I had to hit a the power button to get that screen to go away.
I’ve been working on it on and off for a couple weeks with no luck so far. some people on Charger and Challenger forums have mentioned the same problem on their cars when adding shifters or changing the cluster, depending on vehicle trim (or trim of the donated cluster). I haven’t given up yet...
I can now confirm this does not work. after enabling the settings I got all of the camera options, but all cameras (including the actual front and rear) came up with blue screens. It appears that even though our CVPM looks the same it either has different hardware inside or different software...
It’s annoying, but lots of high end aftermarket shocks with similar construction do the same thing.
Its unfortunately a consequence of the materials used to make the seals. Similar issues arise when you replace rubber bushings with polyurethane ones. They’re undeniably higher performance, but...
