It seems strange, but it has been known to happen. There's a bit of discussion about it on the various RAM forums. We are talking using the same adaptor. People have made a change (multiple times) using the android version and the change appears to have taken, but the feature doesn't work...
I highly recommend anyone buying AlfaOBD in the future buy the Windows version. There have been a number of items on different vehicles that have worked when changed by the Windows version but failed when changed by the Android version. @Jimmy07 can back me up on this.
Everyone should be aware that these aren’t “prerunner” lights, they’re clearance lights. This pattern means you’re driving a vehicle over 80” wide (excluding mirrors). It’s a legal requirement for wide vehicles, that’s why the Raptor and TRX have them.
I know it’s style to copy things we see on...

Well that’s always nice to have. The install kits (adapters, harnesses, etc.) can be a big cost as well, but saving on engine cost and labor is huge.
The Chargers and Challengers don’t have really huge tanks, but they’re also not 6000# with the aerodynamics of the...
Option 1 is going to cost you ar least $50k and possibly as high as $100k, but will have gobs of power, so if money is no option then go for it. You’ll also be getting single digit fuel mileage, so the 22 gal tank won’t get you very far.
Option 2 will probably be about $20-30k and option 3...
There *shouldn’t* be a difference, but there’s been numerous times on the Ram forums where we were able to get something to work using the Windows version of AlfaOBD but people using the Android version were not.
As a vet… The Scepter cans are great (though I use Wavian), but be careful not to fall for the old “the military uses it so it must be the best” trap. Frequently a lot of the stuff we use was chosen because it was good enough to last the number of uses or years the military asked for it to last...
As previously mentioned a tap will strip all the paint out of the hole and you may end up with rust. The best method is to use a thread chaser.
If you can’t find one you can always make one by cutting some slots in a proper sized bolt perpendicular to the threads. Run a nut up the bolt before...
Nice. Guessing you had a MK7. My MK6 (2013) had ambient lighting, but no colors. My wife’s current Tiguan also has the single color ambient, though I’ve used VCDS to enable color changes as it affects the digital dash coloring.
The ambient lights in my VW’s doors are a bit brighter, but not a lot. I find the door lights in the JT just bright enough to see when it’s actually dark, so o think they do that job just fine.
To cover all of it, the left hand dial controls the door panel lights and the footwell lights. If you don’t have the footwell lights it’s just the door lights. They’re not very bright and you probably wouldn’t want them to be.
Good luck with everything on this. I'm curious how the dealer ended up with a used Gladiator with only 91 miles on it. It feels like there's more story they aren't telling you.
