My friend just ordered a Sarge Green Wrangler and is eager to swap hoods. So I just have to wait for his to be delivered. But thank you for the reply - and enjoy the heck out of your Glady!
Two main reasons: 1. I do not like fake vents. 2. Weight savings - the Mojave hood is steel instead of aluminum. I realize the Mojave hood looks better to most, but I just kinda prefer the classic hood.
Guys - I'm debating buying the Predator steps. Can any of you who've had them for awhile provide a longer-term review? Have they held up well? Thank you!
Both have the exact same 3.6L engine. They made the hood on the Mojave different for the same reason they made the Rubicon hood different: aesthetics. People like the look. It adds another distinctive feature to the model.
I'm pretty sure that auto manufacturers would use K&N filters as stock if they produced even a 1/4 MPG gain in fuel efficiency. Manufacturers have to spend a LOT more than $50 to squeeze any increase in MPG to help meet fleet federal efficiency standards. That's how we all got stuck with the...

I am also in Macomb County. Macomb Township, actually. Let's see if a Sarge Green owner replies. If not, if you are willing to repaint, we could do the swap.
I would like to trade my Sarge Green Mojave's hood (less than 2 weeks old) for Sarge Green hood from a Sport or Overland. Must be Sarge Green exchange so I do not have to repaint. I live in Michigan. If you want a Mojave hood and are willing to trade, we'd have to arrange to have a dealership or...
Oh. Bummer. Was hoping for a more permanent solution that makes pulling off doors easier without having to keep switching mirrors. Thanks for info, though. Look forward to your review.
Thank you. My main question is: can you put the doors back on and still use these body-mounted mirrors? Or, do they utilize the hinge for the door and, therefore, require you to remove the mirrors when you put the doors back on?
Whatever happened to the Mopar official doors-off side mirror kit announced back in October? There was a bit of buzz around Jeep finally offering a side mirror solution to driving with the doors off because the upcoming Ford Bronco would have side mirrors mounted to the A-pillar instead of the...
