I’d do the lift. It will affect your MPG a bit more than just the level, but you likely knew that. It’ll pick up the back end a bit and in my opinion be a better look. Price seems a little steep but not out of the ballpark either. I’d likely do Clayton front and rear springs, Mopar end links and...
Keep the updates coming- just wanted to vocally say it’s not for nothing and people are watching.
I don’t care one bit about performance gains (ok, maybe just a very small bit) but am curious about:
1: any mpg changes
2: will this pulsar ultimately be a headache like some (most?) seem to...
Admittedly the pulsar does scare me a bit. Love the idea of it, but it seems about as reliable as the oracle flush mount tail lights!
Sold then, buying an intake to go with the exhaust simply because it can’t hurt, and of all the things I’ve done for my jeep, it’s cheap money.
Certainly makes some sense. We do all know that more air in + air out is good for the engine. I suppose some of the CAI argument is that there isn’t any more air in than the stock. Then there is the “it’ll suck up dust and eat your piston rings!” crowd.
Long story short, I ordered the corsa sport single downturn exhaust for my truck because:
1: I like it.
We all know the long debated topic about CAI, meaning…they are useless as a football bat. All that being said:
1: I like it
2: Considering a pulsar tune and wonder if the two (intake and...
Good to know. Mine handles great now lifted on 35s. I’ll decide if I go to 37s if it gets tossed Around enough to go Falcon or Bilstein.
I have the shocks so bonus points for matching.
Anyone run the Bilstein 5100? Seems like just a direct bolt on OEM replacement. Under $100 however. I’ve always liked the Bilstein stuff, doesn’t fetch the big name (fox/falcon) price tag.
I think their motto is “We may be cheap, but at least we aren’t Rough Country.”
May stick with 20” because it’s potentially less expensive. I could swap 37s and mount them to these wheels. I do like these wheels, the other ones would be more of a build “look” change. Like swapping my aftermarket front bumper for the arcus..just a different look.
Could run 37s on this setup...
I’d love a diesel as even 22mpg on 35/37” tires is a dream come true.
I suppose though at 16 I’m only 6 under that or about 120 miles less per tank. Works out to be about 7.5 gallons more needed per tank. At 3.30 a gallon that’s rounded up to $25 a tank. 2x a month and I’m at $600 a year more...
This is haunting my dreams currently. I fear someone is going to get an awesome deal on some 35” Baja Boss tires with less than 3k miles.
The real question is- do I keep my 20” wheels because 1: I like the look and 2: with a little less sidewall they are better handling on the road as my daily...
Story of my “build.” I’ll do this 3x over I’m certain of it. Worst part is you buy the “perfect” wheel and tire combo only to think less than a few months later that the grass may be greener. Should have just (me) bought different wheels and 37s day one and saved what will likely be a few thousand.
Interesting. I’ll have to look again but I’ve got Clayton 2.5” springs which are 3.5” up front. I then have the Mopar lower control arms up front as well as a core track bar. All seems well on mine and it handles good as ever.
Sounds like you may have found the upper limit as you say you were...
They have been great. Her and her husband Eric (owners) are always helpful and have great knowledge. They will be doing my regear for me the end of January (first available.)
You aren’t kidding with 35s. When I got them and rolled them into my shop I was like “HOLY SH1T!” When I stand next to...
