Long story short, I ordered the corsa sport single downturn exhaust for my truck because:
1: I like it.

We all know the long debated topic about CAI, meaning…they are useless as a football bat. All that being said:
1: I like it

2: Considering a pulsar tune and wonder if the two (intake and exhaust) are part of the greater piece of the puzzle and are like ying and yang?

3: if it makes no difference whatsoever to a tune/performance/mpg I’ll just skip the intake.

4: if yes to both, looking at
A- S&b
B- Mishimoto
Any experience, thoughts on these two?

Anytime you can make an engine breath easier, you will see gains. It's basically a big air pump.

Having said that, I had '96 GC Laredo with the I-6 in it. I opened up the intake by removing some restrictions and adding the K&N filter. For the exhaust, I went with a free(r) flow cat (original got plugged so...), 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust piping and an Edelbrock free(r) flowing muffler. Caveat...I also swapped out the injectors from the factory 19 lb/hr single points to FMS 22 lb/hr 5 points (Mustang 5.0L injectors, Bosch direct fit). I had much more horsepower to where I could pace a stock 5.0L Mustang GT and my fuel economy went up like 4 mpg average (when I kept my foot outta it  ).

So, go with opening up both the intake and exhaust, you should see improvements. Maybe not like the gains I saw with my GC but still...

Certainly makes some sense. We do all know that more air in + air out is good for the engine. I suppose some of the CAI argument is that there isn’t any more air in than the stock. Then there is the “it’ll suck up dust and eat your piston rings!” crowd.

If you add the Mopar CAI, you don't have the issues with dirt intrusion. The intake pipe has the restrictions removed, and does alter the sound. I like it, but saw no performance change.

You will only see gains at full throttle and high RPM. That is where things like Exhaust and intake need to flow and where upgrades matter.

If you aren't spending much time at 6000 rpm wide open throttle, it makes little to no difference.

But if it makes you happy and you like the way it sounds then go for it.

Should see some gains with CAI, exhaust, and tune.

How much is a good question. Not sure if anyone else with a 3.6 on here has done all 3 on their JL or JT with dyno results that is willing to share results

I used to do all 3 to any vehicle I owned. From mustangs, diesel F250 (massive gains by the way), to a 350z. I did it mostly for the extra fun, sound, and of course increase in power.

There were notable differences in all vehicles I'd upgrade with the least improvement on the 350z likely because the factory twin intakes already had a tru cold air design and the exhaust was already decent flowing.

With all that being said, id say go for it. It will bring a smile to your face for sure hearing that intake and exhaust.
Cheers.

If that’s what you want to do, GO FOR IT. It’s your truck and your life, enjoy it. It will certainly “sound” better and it will do no harm.

I love my volant cai with powercore and afe exhaust. They do exactly what I want and helps turn heads. I say go for it… but the pulsar… I’m not a fan. I have an idrive and my truck is fast of the line with just just barely up on the controller and I can get that rumble from both sides when I nail the throttle… good luck on your decision!

Admittedly the pulsar does scare me a bit. Love the idea of it, but it seems about as reliable as the oracle flush mount tail lights!

Sold then, buying an intake to go with the exhaust simply because it can’t hurt, and of all the things I’ve done for my jeep, it’s cheap money.
