In my opinion the correct part is 68293984AB. Whether the other one fits or not isn't actually clear in the current parts diagrams. I cannot find the first part number in any diagram. I looked at 2020 gladiator, 2019 JL and 2018 JK.
Here is a diagram of the driver (left) side:
The passenger side is in the same spot on the opposite side. Those wires are accessible from below. You can get at both connectors.
On the drivers side black is ground beige is the driver.
On the passenger side black is ground, red is the driver...

Ok totally confirmed. It's called the "Rear Cab Trim Panel Lower Storage Bin"
If you have the rear sub (questionable that it is a sub, but whatever).

So upon further visual inspection... they seem to just be decorative. The one behind the driver's seat (40 split) does not go anywhere. It seems like just a trim piece, the body of the cab is right under it. No carpet and no other cavities.
