I got a response back from Lange on the Mirrors. They say they no its a known issue and that a longer replacement stem would solve the problem but they have not looked into manufacturing optional replacement tubes at this time.

I've got the bed rails and for what I need this is much better option. I don't have or plan to get Molle Panels and the bed rails and good tie downs that work well with them is hit or miss
