Some bad info put out on this thread about the diesel 5 yr/100K mile powertrain warranty. It doesn't just cover "internal parts".
E. PARTS COVERED The Powertrain Limited Warranty covers these parts and components of your vehicle's powertrain supplied by FCA US LLC:
Diesel Engine Cylinder...
Interesting bit I found in the owners manual stating "windshield" is covered under warranty for 1-year or 12K miles. So I think a windshield crack that occurs with no impact mark should be covered.
F. WHEN IT ENDS The Basic Limited Warranty lasts for three years from the date it begins or for...
I have a JTRD coming in with the 8.4" 4C Uconnect. I am debating whether to get a radar detector like the Valentine One Gen 2 and use JVB1 like shown here:
My question is how well does Android Auto work on the Uconnect for displaying stuff like JVB1 on the screen?
Interesting, I always thought it was other vehicles driving by doing the rock throwing/cracking. So you are saying the rocks are leaving your own tire treads, and somehow migrating up over the fender flares and laterally enough to hit your own windshield? Wind?
No that's not what the data says. The percentages are of all options. You have to take each WS type numbers if you want the breakdown and do the math.
Of this writing, 7 GG people have had their WS crack at any time and 7 haven't ever. So GG has cracked on people 50% of the time.
As of this...
Your analogy doesn't make any sense. It's not a poll of one person. A poll of many people, with the law of averages, can get you easily in the ballpark if the sample size is decent enough.. Not looking for an exact number here.
Ya I now kinda feel silly for ordering it. As of this post, the GG is actually performing worse in the poll than the regular OEM glass.
Although the sample size is still small.
I remove the stock wheel well liners, apply Dynamat Extreme on the backside, then re-install the liners. Helps a bit with the noise. Mud flaps would only help a tiny bit.
Any material you put between the sound source and your ears will help some. I also went with Armorlite complete flooring system.
HGP uses the term Gorilla Glass on their products under description:

When my OEM GG WS fails I will get the HGP. Since I have the fancy safety electronics, their version for that isn't out yet anyway.
Uh, no. My dealer admin fee is $599, which is less than 1% of invoice for my build. Still a smoking deal. And most dealers tack on admin/processing fees to "Regular" sales too.
I just looked into the Hyper Glass Performance windshield with GG and it seems like it's constructed the same as the MOPAR GG windshield. I wonder if an OEM makes the GG windshield but then sells it to MOPAR and HGP. What are the chances two different brands would come out with identical (near?)...
Ok Daniel I will eat some crow. At first I just looked at the inside of the hinge where everything bolts together. You would assume this would be the place to look, but alas, further investigation has prompted me to send the following email to RLD:
Hello, a forum member on...
I don't disagree with you that RLD should respond to you and send you out new hinges. That is poor customer service.
But a simple hinge replacement is making a mountain out of a molehill. I'd like all of the fasteners on my Jeep to be stainless steel, but then the truck would also cost six...
Invoice is not truly what the dealer pays the auto manufacturer. The dealer still makes money called the "holdback". The dealer also makes money from various processing fees, finance kickbacks, Tread-lightly program rebates and most people's trade-ins. So even at 6% below invoice, the dealer on...
So 120 votes now, and 3 out of 120 votes have CP4 pump failures. Granted the vehicles in question are still fairly new, but the number reflects that it's not necessarily a crisis at the moment. 3 out of 120 is still alarming.
Also of note, no CP4 failures reported from those running lubrication...
