A couple of days ago I watched a video from our Northern friends at Epic Outfitters where they installed a Ripp supercharger. At the time they also replaced the spark plugs and upgraded the coil packs.
Are you going to do those switch outs as well?
They did it as far back as 1959!

We camped at that spot and that’s where the evening picture of the dam was taken.
the flies and mosquitoes were the worst of any place we’ve ever been in the world. With so few people there you wonder what those flies and mosquitoes eat in order to survive!
I’ve driven the Trans Lab and you’re right it is the most desolate road in North America and I’m including the Haul Road going to Prudhoe Bay. Glad you made it through there. Did you go to the Manic 5 Dam?
As someone who grew up in NH I know what you’re talking about. The worst (besides those Massholes) were tractor trailer drivers when the snow blows off their trailers.
Back then I used a soft bristle push broom and it seemed to work pretty well. Now I live in NC and don’t have that problem!
Don I think we are all interested in how this goes…I was talking with my wife just last night about the “possibility” of upgrading to a 5.7 and she surprisingly said go for it…it can’t be that much. Then I told her the price and she got very quiet!
So if the SC turns out to be a good choice...
Great video! I really appreciate you sharing the actual day to day “grind” of being on the road and can’t wait for your upcoming videos on Africa. It is truly an amazing place with some wonderful people, particularly in Botswana.
Do I understand that you are leaving the Jeep in South America...
Sounds like a great trip!
The reason you don’t see many Jeeps there is because, just as you expected, Toyota offers the Hilux and the 70 Series trucks there with a diesel. We have driven both a 78 and 79 Series Toyotas and there is no better, more durable rigs on the planet. That’s just a fact...
OK, OK, I just heard from my super secret source that the 5.7 is coming to the Gladiator. It’s settled…
My source you ask? A random sales guy at my local dealership of course! They have all the inside scoop?
J/K!
Here’s an AMW 840 monster on BAT right now if anyone is so inclined…

Just less than a day left though…
This is my set up albeit I don’t have an Andersen set up. Just be careful if it is going to your trucks battery that you don’t leave it plugged in overnight and wake up to a dead battery…🤣
I didn’t want to post this in the 6.4 thread as it had gotten off the rails. If you don’t like seeing what a 5.7 behaves like in a Gladiator don’t bother posting.
No negative comments needed here.
For the rest of us, enjoy!
