The forward rail in mine would have been useless where it was and I wanted the box as far forward as possible. So mine came out. I thought but mounting it to the back of the box but havenāt done that, yet.
This was my solution. Itās been great. Holds lots of gear, my dual compressor and wiring to run the fridge, lighting etc. Bolted in to the front tie down mounts with 3ā x 1/8ā aluminum straps. I am planning on putting a Lithium battery and charging system in it as well. Itās surprisingly large.

Iām trading my Gen 1 in for a Gen 2 when and if they ever arrive. But I donāt know if they have plans for it. Itās black with white doors and opening windows in the doors.
I donāt think you can put 700#s dynamic load on a āstandard topperā nor do most have three opening doors so you donāt have to crawl over or completely unload to get to something in the front of the bed. Iām just saying.
I have the 1st gen and like it. But they are switching me to a 2nd gen when they come in. 2nd gen looks like it was designed for the JT. So far otherwise I love the one I have. Side doors are awesome!
