Yup, did that, although I'm not cool enough to have USB in the back 🙄
It's sad I can't use my truck without creating bypasses. This is a very easy feature that could be fixed. Just like the auto start/stop could be set to remember the driver's choice instead of always reverting back to on.
The thing that REALLLY bothers me is that the moment you plug your phone into the car, it syncs up the bluetooth and suddenly the device is in your radio. No questions asked, no permissions given by me.
I absolutely HATE the car play feature. Most frustrating thing in the world. ANYONE jumps into the truck with me, they immediately plug in and then it interrupts my radio station to whatever dumb game noises are coming out of their phones. Switch back to my radio and 15 seconds later, I've got...
THANKS! I couldn't believe the condition! With only 1000 sets of these, I almost feel like my project TJ isn't nice enough for them lol. Now, I kinda want to build a eagle clone
Picked up a 5x8 utility trailer for $200! It's absolutely road worthy except for a broken brake light lens. Pulled it home zero problems. Saved myself $900 there. After that, I drove to Pittsburgh to pick up some Golden Eagle Ravine wheels for the TJ. These things are MINT. Supposedly under 100...
^^^^^^^
This is why I purposely bought the 5" screen radio. With the propensity to screw up things when updates are made, I want the ability to safely remain behind. No OTA updates screwing up my settings. Then there's my tin hat side that likes that they can't track my truck. ;) No...
Anybody swap seats out? These scatpack seats are available to me coming heated and cooled, it would be a nice upgrade. Anybody swap seats in their jeeps?
Had a local Ford dealership do the work on my wife's cherokee and the dealership we bought it from paid for it. They sold her a vehicle that couldn't pass PA inspection. The excuse? "Well our tech passed it for NY's inspection"
Listen, Jerk. The lower A-arm bushing it MISSING. Don't...
on all of the Gladiators (and Wranglers) that I've ever seen have a light at the base of the cup separator. It shines outward from the center. You'll need to add some slits at the bottom. Maybe yours is burnt out? Unless that's a feature that didn't get exported to the Chinese market?
Oops missed that....
The only other thing I've ever heard pop like that is a loose lug nut... but that's not behind your skid plate. Maybe they jacked up the swaybar disconnect when installing the lift.
Hmm, Id still do the shake test. Can you get an eye on the sway-bar frame mounts? The disconnect? I'm assuming it hasn't had anything done to the suspension. That plastic skid is going to have to come off
Sway bar links.
Mine pop the same way and I can't get them to tighten down enough to stop the pop. Drives me nuts but not as bad now that I know what the source is.
Get yourself a helper and have them shake the truck while you hunt for the noise. I'm 99% sure thats a sway bar link. Most...
Well, I'd be losing my mind on them.... But the silver lining is that you can push for a replacement and then get them to install a true track. They'll make you pay for the true trac but the install will save you a lot.
Disconnect from the truck and try working on it on a counter top? Probably very awkward working up there like that. Good luck getting the stem back into the windshield frame once you've got the first part back together!
and expensive. gear lube still isn't cheap... I HATE MUD... But that's mainly PTSD from trying to get the HMMWVs clean enough to pass inspection after being in the field!:surprised: LOL
Did they opt to simply replace or did you have to push for it? I'm just starting the process for hinges, 1 door and two spots on the hood. Taking the truck to body shop on Monday for them to do the estimate.
Where does it appear on the windshield frame? I haven't seen any yet but now I'm worried
