The prices suck.... I won't put Yukon anything near my Jeep after yesterday.....and I'm going to share on every post. forum, etc. so hopefully no one has to deal with this crap.
That's a Yukon bearing and pinion that disintegrated with no warning under the rigorous abuse of driving to work...
good luck. I hope you have good experience I did, until I didn't, yesterday. My Yukon gears just failed on the highway with no warning - about 3.5 years ~ 40k miles (50k on the Jeep). They were professionally installed by a real pro with a ton of experience and a great reputation, broken in...
From my experience, I'd say avoid Yukon like the plague. Lots of reported issues. They only have a 1 year warranty. The pinion gear grenaded with no warning after about 40k miles (50 k total on the Jeep) while I was driving to work (yesterday - 12/16/2024). That second pic is inside the diff...
Problem is that I need 5.13 gears. I put out a WTB post https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/wanted-to-buy-jt-rubi-m220-rear-axle-with-5-13-gears.88586/
Good call. These were Covid parts and at the time supposedly had a good reputation. I see now that was all smoke and mirrors. Iāll use Spicer - USA made next time.
ugghhhh. 5 years and 50,000 miles and Yukon Gears 5.13 failed. No warning, driving to work and noise started. Towed it to the shop. I'll share pics of the diff once I get them but it sounds bad - might be going with a new/used complete axle.
Title says it all. Looking for a JT Rubicon M220 Rear axle with 5.13 gears, shipping to 19363 or I can pickup if in the greater PA/DE/NJ/MD area. thanks
This sux. I havenāt seen any issues in my 2020 M/T Rubi at 50k miles with a CF Clutch ā¦in sand numerous times, in mud, in rocksā¦. I had the first clutch / computer recall done. Iām never going back to a dealer unless I absolutely have to.
50 k miles and going strong
I had a 4x4 shop replace my axle seal while I was getting it regeared and he got Jeep to reimburse him under warranty so I never paid and donāt know what it cost. The gear change labor was $600. He already had it apart so not much additional labor. Of course, once...
Probably not going to hear about many 4.10 gear changes. Itās just not enough to be meaningful and costs the same. My stock manual Rubi was not adequate - should have been 4.56 gears. Easier way might be to find Rubi take off axles and replace them. Good luck ! by the way the stick clutch also...
