Forgot - you’ll need a Tazer or JScan or something to correct the Speedo and shift points if auto trans. 40s will be hard on ball joints and wheel bearings so keep an eye on them. Mine need replaced at 50k miles on 37s. Good luck and post pics!
The Core stuff seems ok and some members above vouch for it. I recently cross shopped Core but ended up going with a Clayton complete lift for my sons TJ.
What’s your intended use? What size tires do you plan to run with 6” of lift? That’s a lot of lift You'll probably need extended brake...
I generally recommend staying away from Rough Country. I’ve never bought anything from RC that I didn’t later regret and replace.
Quality Jeep suspension companies worth looking into include Rock Krawler, Clayton, Metal Cloak, AEV, Teraflex. Top shelf, very high dollar stuff is Currie and...
Labor sounds a bit high to me but not outrageous. I’ve done basic lifts in 4 hours but usually they take way longer. My brother has a truck and trailer shop and we did my Rusty’s advanced lift at his shop on a lift and it took us about 8 hours. That’s 16 labor hours. We had to cut a couple...
Not a drive shaft but track bars. I wrapped in bubble wrap, taped them up, slapped ann anddress label on and took them to the post office to be weighed and shipped. I don’t remember how much it cost but I do remember it being cheaper than I thought.
Vehicles are almost always depreciating assets. Pre Covid (aka Plandemic) seems to make a big difference. I have about $2,800 left on my loan and my 2020 JTR is worth about $30k. Bought it for about $47k plus tax, tags . Got about $14k for my paid off 2013 JKU as a trade in and 2% financing...
Weight and heights are tricky and there are tons of different factory springs so it’s hard to figure out a formula. I usually make the mods, then correct the height if I need to, after everything has settled. Good luck.
I just went through this on a TJ. Took hours to get the axle shafts out. I see you are from VA in your profile. I chuckled at this “…the axle easily pulls out”.not sure if your Jeep has seen road salt…. If you are a rust belt warrior, almost nothing comes apart easily. I see someone already...
You may never have a smoking gun with DW. Torquing all the bolts to spec is very important. This is a great checklist https://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2/DeathWobbleChecklist.pdf
