Lol. Flamboyant is not one I've heard. Thankfully...
Quite the opposite. Driving down the tollway, had a guy in a random SUV honk, point and give me a thumbs up. Couple days ago, guy pulls up next to me in a sedan. Motions to roll down my window and proceeds tell me, 'your Jeep looks...
Thanks! People tend to either love it or hate it. Actually had a guy pull up next to me doing 75 down the tollway about two weeks ago. Honked, pointed, and gave me a thumbs up! That does NOT happen with any other color!
Better view after a nice bath!
I saw something similar when I started looking back early November or so. Absolutely nuts if you ask me. Then talked to multiple local dealers in the Dallas area. Quotes were anywhere from $2k over sticker, to sticker and a $2k discount. (then $1500 in adds) My vigilance paid off eventually...
This was back during the summer, when the shortage was a bit worse, at least in the Dallas area, had a guy actually knock on my door and ask if he could look at mine!
I of course said sure! 35s and Fox lift... guy was maybe 5'5 and a bit portly. He almost couldn't get in the thing, so who...
I remember talk early on that Gladiator would only steal from the Wrangler market. Appears that's not the case as both sales increased. Glad to see it!
Loved my Wranglers. Getting a Wrangler AND having my truck bed again... genius.
Guess I shouldn't be, but I'm a little shocked the sales folks have to pay out of pocket for classes. We were forced to go, whether we liked it or not. 2003 - 2008 for me. Gotta be terribly difficult to up-sell from a Sport to a Mojave or Rubi. $15k appearance package!! That's some fancy...
After purchasing my latest Gladiator at a different dealership, I had been looking for something for my son. I'm at a local dealership test driving a used Ram and talking about my recent Gladiator purchase. Sales guy (who had obviously been selling for a little while according to some pins or...
Interesting discussion. I initially started looking just for shits and giggles as I was looking for something for my son who gets his license next month. Had a 2020 Sport S with remote start and not much else. Added Fox lift, 35s and wheels.
Carvana - $36k
Vroom - $37.5K
Max at local dealer...
Thanks! Honestly not sure on the offset. These are the same wheels I had on my previous one. Def my favorite and I'd be lost if they quit making them. I just went to Discount Tire and told them what I wanted. They took care of the rest.
Sorry I couldn't help more!
Finally got my tires/wheels installed. Was initially thinking about the AEV spacer lift, but it sits pretty good as is.
Fuel D515 Pump Wheels
Nitto Ridge Grappler 35X12.5X18
Asked the rep at Discount Tire about these. He said for off road use, they're fantastic. If 80+% of your driving is on the highway, avoid them. Ended up going with my Ridge Grapplers again.
What kind of mileage/wear do you see with these tires? Had the Nitto Ridge Grapplers previously. 40k miles at trade in, and probably had another 20k in them. Like the price on these, but don't want to trade price for new tires in 40k miles.
This thread feels like it got deep in the weeds! I ended up going Mojave. I'll be more likely to end up on a beach or off the road trails than rock crawling. And NO ONE in DFW had a Rubi they wanted to deal on. Found one online with a discount, but dealer adds put it right back at sticker...
I think part of the problem is there are multiple sounds being lumped into one category. Mine didn't affect performance or anything else, so I just lived with it. Actually just traded my Sport S for a Mojave. I'm anxious to see if it's there on this one.
