  1. HELP! Broke body bolt

I have learned patience. It took a long time but I've finally learned when it's time to take a break and let the vehicle think about things while I have a cup of coffee. What temp does the locking compound need? My plan would be to completely clean the compound off of the bolts, and hope...
  2. HELP! Broke body bolt

I looked at the Rock Hard sliders and was ready to buy an induction heater when I decided I didn't feel like working that hard, or risking broken bolts on my new truck. I may still go that route in the future, when the new wears off. I will be looking at using a temp stick or some other...
  3. HELP! Broke body bolt

I'm glad you said something, I was wondering about magnetic aluminum. An electro-magnet makes perfect sense and is something I had never considered.
  4. Truck bed storage

I like the look of those ARE caps, if the bed were long enough for me to sleep in I'd be shopping for one.
  5. What trailer brake controllers are you using?

I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 that I've been using for 12 years in two other pickups.
  6. Truck bed storage

I have a milk crate secured near the tailgate. I have a fabric tonneau cover, anything of value goes in the back seat. When I get a hard cover I'll come up with a better storage method, probably plywood bins.
  7. In The Middle Of The Night.....

I pat mine on the fender and say "Good job".
  8. Overflowing Fuel (and the fix!)

I'd be interested in pictures and/or a comparison of the two filler necks, if possible.
  9. Is this normal?

How long ago was it regeared and what kind of warranty did you get on the work? Did they install new pinion seals? I'm used to seeing that type of seepage on higher mileage vehicles, I tend not to worry about it until I see a puddle forming. If that were mine, and the regear was still under...
  10. Bed Rail Removal : Proud Of Myself…….

Can you post links for the tool kits?
  11. Bent Frames - Big Thing or isolated?

I have not seen damage to leaf spring mounts like that. The worst I've seen was a pair of shackles rusted through. The advantage I can see of leaf springs over coils is the lever arm of the frame is shorter, the frame length from the hitch to the spring location. I assume that is taken into...
  12. Bent Frames - Big Thing or isolated?

I'm watching this out of curiosity, I bought my truck because of the tow rating with Max Tow. I can see, with the coil spring suspension, that more weight is concentrated in one area than on a truck with leaf spring suspension. I did a quick search for bent frames on Ram 1500's and found...
  13. Does anyone actually like the Sport (non-S) wheels?

I bought my JT because of the Max Tow. I didn't like the base model steelies at first but am finding I don't mind them. I do want a second set of wheels as I prefer two sets of wheels/tires for my trucks. They will be factory wheels, for the offset, how ever I don't know yet if they'll be 17's...
  14. 2020 Gladiator Transmission Issue…

Is customer service that bad at dealerships? I expect them to do everything in their power to get the truck fixed and back to it's owner. That's what I would do if I worked there.
  15. Getting started offroading

I assume you mean Hot Springs, Arkansas (AR)? AK is Alaska. A shovel and a jack are eminently useful, maybe some short planks to put under the tires once you get them jacked up. A tow strap would be good, if someone is there to pull you off an obstacle. I would see how others are equipped for...
  16. ARB Bumper and Warn winch on Mojave - love it!

Looks good. I've been debating installing a winch and bumper on my Gladiator. I like the looks of this one though I'd prefer one with tow hooks or shackle mounts on it. Do you have an estimate of the weight difference over the plastic bumper that it replaced?
  17. towing safely with known death wobble?

Thanks, I book marked that should I need one in the future.
  18. towing safely with known death wobble?

My JK had it, it turned out to be the track bar bolt hole at the frame that was wallowed out. I found an after market bracket that reinforced that area and I tightened it a bit beyond spec., since spec. came loose and wallowed out the hole.
  19. 2024 Willys versus Mojave

We have no way to verify this... But I do know it's more fun to drive, than to post pics on the internet.
  20. 2020 Gladiator Transmission Issue…

Has the trans been serviced? I could see old, tired fluid causing symptoms, though I would think it would be more than just the two.
